The Further Adventures of Hudson Hawk....

I don't often do two entries in one day, but I couldn't resist showing you these photos.

Hudson is our resident Cooper Hawk. He came in tonight hoping for a good dinner....All he got was a pre dinner drink.

He is a bit peculuar....He takes a drink and then lifts his head straight up in the air to swallow it.

This is the first time I have seen him use the bird bath....OK....He is a bird...You should have heard the racket coming from the trees around the yard. The sparrows yell a lot when he comes in the yard. I always know he's there.

He stood in the pool for about ten minutes. I think that he was hoping that someone would join him for a drink....He's a good looking guy, but I don't think that any of the girl birds are really interested in dating him for his looks. He tends to get violent sometimes....

You have heard of someone leaving with ruffled feathers? Yup. He flew up to the fence top and sat there for a while. The wind was blowing in pretty good gusts. He finally gave up and went home without picking anyone up.

Like Arnie.....He'll be back....

I'm so pleased that you came back to show us these pictures! Brilliant photos of a magnificent bird. I never seem to have my camera to hand when special birds come into my garden. Well done!

Hudson is around all of the time. He is usually a lunchtime patron. I try to keep him from getting the other birds, but if he gets one, he leaves nothing behind. He is indeed beautiful!
