Since the new beds arrived, I have been rearranging, moving, making beds, throwing out old bedding, dusting behind movable objects and generally not getting any minis done at all.
The sum of all of my mini-ing has been moving large furniture around on sliders and then plopping a mini on top.
I must say that putting the gazebo atop my jewelry chest, aka my tool and needlework chest, made both look more interesting, if not elegant.
The nine dollar dollhouse is now in our bedroom, instead of the computer room. Now I can actually look at it, instead of having it behind me all of the time. It's nice to be able to see it without wrenching my neck. Cordelia and Eskiaga like it too. They can see the TV now. Something to do for them both.
The table underneath them is an antique, hand carved, Victorian, cherry wood table that we bought when we first got married....It was even an antique back then!
The top is in pretty bad shape and I keep saying that I am going to try to do something about it one of these days....I have been saying that for a long time too....
I did go hunt up the sketch, to scale, that I did of it a while ago....At least the sketch isn't an antique....yet.
Along with the repair, I have plans for doing it in mini....Now if I could only find time to do both. It seems like it is going to take me another month just to finish getting the house back in shape from the beds.
I promise that I will get back to minis tomorrow. I have to figure out where I put my tools...wood.....sketchbooks....pencils....etc. etc. etc.
Did I mention that I stopped cleaning in my workroom so that I could do the bed thing? Tessie is nowhere to be found. Both she and Zar disappeared as soon as the furniture van got here....Another item to add to my list of things to do. Go find Tessie and Zar. Check! If they are smart, they will wait to come out until I am finished.
See you tomorrow.

Your real table is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it in miniature. :D
You can't find Tessie? Um...you didn't by any chance make up one of those beds with her IN IT, didja? That bump between the sheets might be something more than the cat, or a stray sock that clung to the quilt in the dryer.
Just listen for muffled cursing. If you can hear that..she's in the bed, LOL!
Addendum: Ok, I HAVE to ask..what's in the dish on the floor by the antique table?
Merri, the dish under the table is dry cat morsels...in their classy MacKinzie-Childs $35.00 berry bowl! They are the fanciest cats in town!LOL I found the bowl in a thrift shop for two bucks. Later looked up the price in the MC catalog.
Kathi, please don't hold your breath whilst waiting for me to do the table....Basically, I like to draw and dream...
