The good news is, Tessie and Zar worked on Claudia's chair together whilst I was out in the yard this morning.
They have started the top part and did pretty good for a while....
Then Zar got tired of being second fiddle and left. Tessie continued on Sabiha's bassinet for a while. I came in to take a break and get a drink of water and noticed that she was slowing down quite a bit. She kept glancing to one side.
I went back out to the yard to work a bit more....When I came back in, this is what I saw.
Tessie eyed me accusingly. Then she said, "This is another miniature house for my collection, isn't it? Why did you hide it? Why are we working on wicker? Who needs wicker? I like this house....I WANT THIS HOUSE! NOW!!!!"
Well....So much for hiding it. I had it under a pile of stuff in the closet with a blanket thrown over the pile for good measure. I even thought I locked the door....Guess not...
I proceeded to sit her down and explain the the wicker is for the winners of the drawings and they should come first. That led to a long harangue from her about the importance of being first...And her strict "Me First!" policy.
I listened for a while....Then I grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and marched her into the workroom and told her firmly, "This is what I think of your "Me First!" policy. It's your turn to be the first one in the work room, cleaning it up! I am going to go work on wicker for the rest of the day. I don't wish to be disturbed! Get to work!"
I know, in my heart of hearts, that she is just sitting in there pouting. Hey! As far as I am concerned, I am way ahead in the game. The longer she pouts, the more weaving I get done.
Back to work.
See you tomorrow.

I was going to leave a comment about how nicely Zar and Tessie were working together, but I should have known it didn't last the day! Maybe you should have told Tessie that tiny house was for Zar- that would have got her goat! Wait...now she'll be wanting a goat! Have a great weekend Casey :)
Looks like you win either way! If she reforms (not likely, she's too set in her ways) you get a helpful, generous, sharing little witch.
If she sits and pouts, you get work done..in peace. Maybe not for long, but count your blessings, right?
It could be worse, yanno...she could be twins!
Casey, if I were in your shoes, I would peek in the keyhole once in a while just to see what she's up to. Who knows what she might decide to get into?
Hope this turns out good...you never know with Tessie?

It is very fun, to see this way the progress of the chair and bassinet...think it makes it much more special!
Oh Tessie, will you do me a favor and work on my chair....pretty please? You do such lovely work!
