I'm Ready for the Close Up.....

Since today is Wednesday and I don't have a lot of time for minis, I thought I would show you some close ups of the new room.

Don't forget to poke the photos.

This first one shows the lounge and mesh chairs. You can also see a portion of the floor. It's kind of hard to make out, but I just wanted to show you that you can make a floor from 1:1 size textured vinyl wallpaper. The nice thing about vinyl for any purpose in mini is, it can be painted to match the scene.

Next is the bookcase. No. I still haven't found the flat screen....It will turn up sooner or later. Let's hope it's sooner. Tessie is becoming really irritated.

She insisted on the dancing skeletons. She said that would do as entertainment until the TV showed up. Unfortunately, they are really bad dancers.

All in all, I think that the bookcase turned out well, considering that it was a Dollar Tree find.

The silver bottle next to the bookcase is a fragrance bottle from India. I am not sure where I found it. It has been around for a long time. The larger silver canister on the top shelf is also an Indian piece. It has an inlay of mother of pearl on the lid.

On to the right side of the room. I didn't make the sofa for this box, but it couldn't have been a better fit if I had. And no, I still didn't make a palm tree. Maybe I will do that today at Wednesday Witches.

Here's the whole thing. I do believe that this furniture was meant for this box. It reminds me of some of the 60s ranch houses.

I am basically finished with the room now.....Shhh....Don't remind Tessie that the TV isn't in there yet.

Of course, a new room box can't be left to it's own devices.....Let's party!!! After I took the photo, I realized that the whole thing looks a bit crooked....It's not. It's the angle. Honest!

Three witches, an old maid, an Apache Indian and a Steampunk scientist do a party make!

It's time to have some fun!

See you tomorrow.

Parece que se han dado cuenta de que ya está terminado. Una buena conversación es mejor que la televisión.
Realmente es perfecto cada sillon para este salón de verano. Será precioso ver las estrellas tumbados.

It looks like a fun party to me. I think your mesh chairs are marvellous - such an orignal idea.

You cracked me up with those dancing skeletons! Looks like Tessie and friends are having a good time. :D
Bet you are glad there is a lid on this box! If you give them something to eat and find that TV maybe they will all leave you alone for a while?

No wonder I am in love with those bottles :). Thank you for the explanation . Good to know they are from India cos Indi-ahhhh here I come :).

Only you can put Indian perfume bottles next to dancing skellies and make them look like they are made for each other.

I love this room especially when it is party time :).

I love it when you find normal small things to go into a room, I get such a buzz, you party looks as if it will go on for a while, maybe you will get a quiet day today. I'm off to do some craft myself.

Simplesmente amei a sala com os novos móveis, tudo combinou. Os esqueletos deram uma graça a mais na estante.
Diga para Tessie que ela já tem muito para fazer e se divertir e que a tv não faz muita falta.
Aproveito para agradecer as boas vindas, love you!!!
Kisses!!
