Houston, We Have a Problem.....

No. It's not with the paint. I like the color now. I used half Ceramcoat Lime Green and half Ceramcoat Light Ivory to get the color right. Does that tell you how dark the lime green was to begin with? It was awful.

As soon as the paint was dry, Tessie and Zar moved into the corner. Mind you, it was still on the kitchen counter. They started messing with tarot cards. For some reason they got it into their heads that they could play poker with them. They only had six cards and nobody seemed to be winning.

After taking the photo, I decided that I might as well install the interior window trim... Here's the problem.

This is all of the arched window trim that I could find.....One window arch. Not even the bottom piece.

I took all of these pieces to Wednesday Witches a month or so ago to paint the trim....Do you think that I could find all the pieces that I painted? Of course not.

I have been looking high and low for them....Nowhere to be found. I did find the interior front door pieces....No longer intact. They will have to be glued back together and painted.

I am not too happy with the fact that none of the square windows had interior trim with them and there was no window material included with the house. Neither glass or plexi. It's a nice kit, but come on people. You could afford a bit of plastic for windows.

Enough ranting. Back to the subject at hand. Tessie decided that the size of the tea table was too small.

I rummaged around and found this Chinese table from years ago. It needs refurbishing.

Tessie, Spike and Zar are like the three bears.....The first was too small. This one was too large. They want one that is just right.

That means making a new one I suppose. I found some wooden chess pieces that would make a nice table base. Back to the drawing board. I am getting very little accomplished today. One step forward(painted a wall). Two steps back(need to find the window trim and make a new table).

I am going to the kitchen now and find some chocolate chip cookies. Then I am going to sit down, eat the cookies, and contemplate what is out of place in the universe for a while.....Starting with the missing window trim.

See you tomorrow.

Love that green - where are you going to put the puce?? ;)

How frustrating about those windows!

Like your thinking on the choc cookies - the best solution to many problems :)

That's strange that there was no window plastic. I have several RGT kits and all of them had "glass" for the windows. Good luck with the hunt for the missing trim pieces.

Don't you just hate it when you can't find something! It happens to me a lot! Hope they turn up soon.
Have another cookie for me!

LOVE this new color. Looks great!

Just wanted to let you know that I always look forward to your posts. It's a nice treat at the end of my day. If you wrote a book, I'd buy it in a minute! :)

I love the green, too. I hate it when I can't find things or they are missing to begin with. (You remember the Dremel disapperance?!). Good to see Tessie and Zar civilly sharing a cup of tea.

My summer has been 'uber' busy with hay, various children's activities, work and hardly any time for mini's. I always think I'll have more time in the summer but alas . . .

It's coming together really nicely, if just those two guys could make up their mind with what they want :D

And I love that Chinese table, it's beautiful. But will be waiting with interest what you'll do with the chess pieces, I have a lot of them laying around here and have to find some use for them :)
