I'm Floored!

The floor is finished!!! It took a couple of hours to do the rest this morning. I had to finish laying it and then used the ball stylus over all of the seams. The last step was the Prismacolor pencils over all.

Tessie has been moving walls around and zapping stairs up and down. We are both trying to figure out what we want to do with the stairs. They are quite steep. I don't really want a traditional railing going up the side. Tessie is leaning more towards contemporary style and that just won't do in this house. I think that she is leaning somewhat towards 60s style....Yup....I am surprised too.

I put the wallpaper up on the one panel in the kitchen to see how it would look. Tessie took one look and declared, "That's just the backdrop for the bright 60s accessories. Lime green and hot pink would look great against it."

I am starting to get nervous about the whole thing. This just doesn't seem like a "normal" witches' house......Lime green? Hot pink??

I let her watch part of the 1966 film, "Modesty Blaise" yesterday. Big mistake! The interiors in that movie were a blast(from the past). Lots of bright colors, op art and many, many, many throw pillows all over the place. I may have to do some mind erasing....

I do have to agree with her about the 60s decor being fun, but I have never seen a dollhouse that went as far as she wants to go with it. Scary. I am NOT going to paint the walls with op art checkerboards that look like they are bulging at the seams....

I am going to go hide in a corner and hold my breath for 24 hours. Maybe she will forget the whole thing and change her mind....Maybe......No such luck....

Tessie just now bounced in and asked,"Can we go see if Blockbuster has "Modesty Blaise? I want to watch it a couple more times and this time I am going to take notes!"

Oh no.....See you tomorrow.

Floor looks good, that paper was a real score.

How about this stair railing? Pretty wild.

I agree, the floor looks really great.

I think the decor is going to be something that will set the neighbourhood tongues buzzing :)

Karin! I love that one, but I don't think that I will have enough room in this house to do it justice. I am bookmarking it for future use! Thanks!
