There was a terrible commotion in the family room this morning. As soon as I strolled in, I knew that trouble was in the air....Literally.
Have you seen the movie "UP!"? That's the one where they tie a huge cloud of balloons to the roof of a cottage and it floats away....
I spied Tessie and Zar, almost nose to nose, arguing.
It was one of those "he said, she said" disputes.
Zar:"It didn't just float away!"
Tessie: "Yes, it did!"
Zar: "Did not!"
Tessie:Did too!"
Zar:"Didn't!"
Tessie:"DID!!!"
In case you haven't yet guessed the object that they were arguing about, it was Clockwork Cottage.
As you can see, it is missing from the table where it usually sits. Pay no attention to the wand, aka toothpick, behind Tessie's back.(I thought that I hid the toothpick box well, after the last time she used one as a substitute....I think that it was the episode when Zar spent a few days as a frog.....Evidently I didn't hide them well enough.
To get to the bottom of the situation, I started hunting for the cottage. I finally spotted it at the top of one of the bookcases in the infamous workroom.
Tessie denies all knowledge of how it got there. That's when the argument started.
She claims that she had nothing to do with the situation. All I am saying is, it didn't get up there by itself.
I was looking all over for some missing roof pieces yesterday. I knew that there was a second bag of wood somewhere. I accused Tessie of hiding it so that I wouldn't be able to work.
She also denied that....
The strange thing is, as soon as I found the house atop the bookcase, I turned around an there was Tessie perched in said sack, happily fidgeting with her wand / toothpick. She talked me out of dragging the step-stool out of the kitchen and dragging down the house to work on it.
She simply sat there twirling the wand in her fingers and humming to herself, a little smile on her face. As I watched, I no longer had the urge to work on the cottage. Instead, I had the urge to clear a space for Tessie's townhouse......
I will get back to the cottage. My inner six year old is wanting to do something different, for some unknown reason.
Oddly enough, Zar just waltzed in and asked if he could help work on the new townhouse.....As I said at the beginning...."Strange things are happening."
See you tomorrow.

Just curious what is it about your clockwork cottage that seems to have stopped the clock on the project? Poor Zar no place to live and you seem unable to focus and finish. That usually means something has gone wrong and is bugging you about the project. Most of us tend to start a whole bunch of other new projects instead of facing the trouble and resolving it. It is not really ADD, it is RAD, run away disorder.
4miniatures,there is no problem. I simply have the attention span of a six year old, as I have said many times in the blog. LOL. This is the way I work. I jump around a lot. I will get back to it eventually. Larger projects seem to get done in small doses, between other projects. The keeps me from getting burnt out on one big thing.
P.S. Zar still lives there. It has just changed location. VBG
