The Six Year Old Has Returned.....

This morning when I woke up, I realized that the six year old had been absent for a while. Well......I'm back!!!!

You may be wondering why there is a photo of a half finished wall here. I have never really liked the plain terracotta walls in the dining room. They were too bright orange.

I decided to try doing an Italian Plaster finish on it. I purposely made the walls in that room rough. I wanted a medieval look in that room. So what could an extra glaze hurt? I can always repaint and repaint again.

I started with half clear glazing liquid and half Trail Tan Ceramcoat. I brushed it on and then wiped most of it off with a paper towel.

Here's the finished product. I am going to let it sit a couple of days to see how I like it.

It will look a lot different with trim.

One word of advice.....Don't install the chandelier before you are finished painting walls. It wasn't fun to work around.

Now about the Zar situation. I sat Tessie down and had a long talk with her. I told her that Spiderwort Manor would be third in line, after Clockwork cottage and Tessie's Teas, but only if she un-spelled Zar and didn't interfere whilst we were working on his cottage. She was hesitant, but did (kind of) agree.

Zar turned up shortly after. He inquired if there were any grasshoppers in the fridge that he could have for lunch. Then he coughed and said...."er....I meant meat and potatoes...".

We went to work on the beams in the workroom. They are coming right along, but in the middle of working on them I noticed that Zar was gazing longingly at a pile of springs and cogwheels on his work table, so I let him off for the rest of the day.

As for Tessie, she has taken up residence in the bathroom of Zar's cottage. He managed to get her with the mesmerizer, but I am afraid that it is working less and less efficiently to keep her out.

She had hauled her trunk of goodies from Christmas in there and had propped up her "Unfair treatment" sign. I guess if the potions don't work she is going to resort to carrying the sign around and around in the bathroom.

She found a pair of Zar's pliers and has resorted to manual labor to try to get in....It's not going to work. There is nothing that the pliers will grab on that wall. She is suspicious, but doesn't have any proof that there is anything behind the wall.

I just hope that she doesn't remember yesterday's adventure. At least not right away. I have other things to do today.

I wonder if I could get her to hook up the plumbing while she is in there?

The six year old is now leaving the room.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey! Just been out trying to catch up on my blog reading and wanted to say Hello to everyone! Glad that Tessie changed Zar back from a frog....She sure keeps everyone busy, doesn't she?! Now if you could change her into a frog you might be able to get Zar's house done!! lol
