Tessie saw what I had done, when I finished, and wanted to know if it was a table top for the teashop....When I said no and explained what it was, she stomped away.
I heard her mumble something about other people always getting the best stuff....Then she turned and shouted, "Tell Santa to remember that promissory note. LOTS of stuff for ME!"
To add insult to injury, I then vacuumed the carpets....More time away from making things. She should be grateful. You wouldn't believe all of the "stuff" that I picked up with the roller ball vac!.
Then I went and worked on needlepoint for a while.
She bounced in and stood behind one of the pieces. Peeking through the hole in the middle of the canvas, she said, "Hey, this would do nicely as a door for the tea shop. Just put a screen or some glass in the hole!"
"No Tessie, that's part of another remote cozy."
That, of course, did not sit well with her. Something else that she couldn't have.
The one that is lying at the front of the photo is one that I made last year. I am just now getting around to a second one for the other remote. There is a method to my madness. I am forever losing the remote. I have a bad habit of carrying it from room to room without thinking. They are soooo much easier to spot with a colorful cozy around them.
I do them with #14 plastic canvas and stranded floss. It is really by guess and by gosh. I just start cutting and shaping the canvas around each remote control. It would be much easier if all of the companies would make them the same size and shape. Unfortunately, they don't agree, so I have to start from scratch for each one.
I simply doodle on them with thread until I have them covered. Then I whip stitch them together. I am thinking that I should do one with some bead embroidery. That will have to wait until after Christmas.
Anyway, as expected, when I told her no, she flounced out of the room. Later when I went to look, she and Zar were in the tree hideout.....Something new had been added. Esmirelda, Tessie's older sister, was there. The three of them were making a list and checking it twice. It wasn't whether someone was on the "good" list or the "bad". No naughty or nice for them. They were making a list of party goers. Maybe they know something I don't. I noticed that they had Ozzy Osborne and Slash at the top of the list.... I was under the impression that they were both larger than six inches tall.....
I would tell them "NO PARTY!". But that would just make them more determined and more tiny people would be wandering around in the tree on Christmas.....
I am going to go find my butterfly net and a couple of cages now. Maybe I can round them all up before the big people arrive, and stash them in the workshop for the day. At least I can close that off and no one will be the wiser.....
I have to go make a battle plan now. See you tomorrow.

Sounds like you are going to have your hands full with everyone planning this party.
Why don't you ask Tessie to create a spell to make a sound proof bubble around the tree to shield your party from theirs? You could say it was so their party would not be interrupted with your noise and then maybe she wouldn't be offended. Just a thought. ;-)
That is so pretty. I love the colors and differents shapes. Did you tell Tessie that it would be hard to set glasses on it. Wouldn't make a good table top. They might tip over. I suppose she would just say that you have to put glass on top. She always has an answer for everything LOL.
