Let's Party!!!

Today is the big day! Tessie's cottage is finished for all intents and purposes. The only thing left is the landscaping and I can do that any time. Tessie was anxious to move in. Yesterday she picked out the door hardware.....She insisted that the Victorian hardware that she found in the drawer was what she wanted. It wasn't quite what I had in mind, but she liked it and that was that. You will get a good look at it when the witches leave later....

When I got there the house was already filled with her sister witches and the stray gypsy from the Warehouse. She and Esmirelda were cooing over the baby dragon that Esmirelda brought as a housewarming gift. Personally, I think that Essie was just trying to get rid of it.....Fear of burning down the warehouse comes to mind. And with her sense of humor, she thought that fire breathing and housewarming went together well. He is cute, but he is also growing quite fast.

They used the magic hammer to crack the egg. Now Tessie wants that for a housewarming gift too. Her memory is very short. She has already forgotten the "being nailed to the roof" incident. I will just sneak the hammer out after the party and she won't even remember that it was there, nice and shiny.

Tessie is trying to get the baby to eat worms from the stew. The dragon wants something more substantial....Maybe a finger or two.

It looks like the gypsy is the smart one. She is staying back with the cookies and punch. She definitely doesn't look comfortable with a baby dragon in the house. Nope. The snake doesn't bother her at all. He doesn't breath fire.

If we pull back, we can see that poor Friskie is being ignored by all. I don't think that we will have to worry about him getting his share. He will eat just about anything that moves. Hmmmm...Nice toes under the Gypsy's skirt!

Tessie witched them upstairs to see the bedroom and they surprised her with a new hat and wicker hatstand. At last she has a pointy hat that doesn't have to have a button pushed to have a point.

I am a bit concerned about the Spinning witch. She has had a glass of homemade witch's brew in her hot little hand ever since they arrived. No wonder some of her spun gold is looking a bit like brass lately.

Now for that fancy handle....Nope. It doesn't match. Yes. It looks silly on the raw wood door. Why did I let Tessie have it? It's simple. No More Arguing. And it was worth it!

See you tomorrow with something new.

What a fab party. Looks like fun was had by all!
Love all your little details scattered around the house.
What's in the basket in the kitchen? I have terrible eyesight and can't quite work it out. Is it a crocodile?
All looks great and can't wait to see your new work.
Also cant wait to see the garden when done... got to have something to look forward to!
Well done on a fantastic project and most of all for making me laugh on a daily basis.
Nikki x

That is Friskie, Tessie's pet alligator. He has been around for the whole story. If you go back a ways he is involved here and there.

Thanks for the compliments.
