As usual, my Wednesday afternoon is for mini witches' meeting. No. Tessie doesn't get to go. She would just cause havoc. Besides, she is too engrossed in picking and choosing for her cottage.
She found an old joint stool that I attempted when I first started carving furniture. It just fit beside the bed for a night table. As you can see, the legs are not exactly the same. I was very proud of it at the time so I saved it. Now I look at it and cringe. Tessie likes it and is going to use it whether I like it or not. At least it isn't just taking up room in a drawer anymore.
I did hide one of the carved beds that would fit in here. I didn't think that she needed a carved headboard and yellow and pink silk roses. Please don't tell her that. She would be searching for it for all she's worth if she knew about it.
I couldn't talk her out of sleeping with her new mode of transportation. She witched it up to the bedroom and since it is painted puce now she says that it fits with the decor. Decor???
After some discussion, she decided that the smaller trunk was the only one that she needed, since she doesn't have a lot of clothes(Should we say none at all?). Guess who wants a whole new wardrobe? Guess who isn't going to make a whole new wardrobe? She won't wear it anyway. She is such a tomboy. I am surprised that she even has flowers and ribbons on her hat. She only has those so that she can disguise the pointy part. She is still trying to figure out how she can make a baseball cap into a pointy hat. I think it is something about the bill that makes it unworkable. If she ever gets it right, out goes the straw and flowers one.
Hey! I just noticed that she ran her motorcycle over the needlepointed rug that I am letting her use. She is mostly harmless, but here goes another session of "Why can't I park the motorcycle on the rug? It will catch the oil spots and save the new floor." Why do I keep trying to fight her logic......? I still have to varnish the new floor. Yes, I know I will have to move everything out again. She will keep popping up there and will witch everything back as soon as it is dry. Then I will have to take it out again to do the windows and curtains.
I decided to let her do what she wants for the day. I pulled out some poly clay and made this. It is smaller than the photo. I took the photo right after I put it in the oven to bake. It will still need some polishing and finishing after it comes out. I kind of like how it's turning out so far though. Oh. I guess I should say, this is a pendant for me. Not miniature.
The timer just went off. I need to go get the snail out of the heat. I will sneak a photo in to show you what it looks like when finished, if you are interested.
See you tomorrow.
