This morning, I went in to get blood drawn. The whole thing starts with that every time. Tomorrow, I get my last chemo treatment... Then they will decide where to go from there. I am still feeling fine. Everything is going well!
The only reason I mention it is, when we got home, this guy was sitting on the wall by the doorbell... About 4 1/2" or 5" across! Huge! I have no idea what he is. Probably some kind of moth, but very pretty. Can anybody identify him? Just curious.
After that, we ate lunch and I went out and checked on and watered the back yard.
The tiny mesquite tree is doing OK so far... Hasn't grown any. Hasn't died.
This is one of the honeysuckle plants. Not sure of the variety, but I like the color...
Yes. I am stalling... Because I can.
This is the last rose of summer. Nope, I don't remember the variety of this either... I am just showing you pretty pictures...
By now, you are probably asking why...
It's cloudy and I don't want to go inside and face this...
Didn't I just do this a week or two ago???
Yup! The dreaded workroom is screeching for attention, once again!
I don't want to go in there... Someone is going to have to drag me kicking and screaming... It's a cloudy day. It could rain at any moment. I don't want to spend a dark afternoon in there!!!
I am going to see if I can find the ingredients to work on the cottage for the rest of the day.
I am going to post a sign on the door that says, "Casey, Keep OUT!". That should do it! If I don't go in there, nobody else will. So nobody will know that it looks like that if you and I don't tell them...
OK... It's kind of broken logic, but that's what I am going to do. I am now going to go find some other game to play!
See you tomorrow...

I hope it is going well for you Casey, and I hope you spent a lovely day in your glorious garden. Regarding that monster moth, we had one here in Australia, a couple of years ago, or rather the dog did. It was so big I thought he had caught a bird in the night. Poor thing didn't have a chance he went crazy for it, than suffered the consequences later with a very upset stomach, so keep your dogs away, lol.
It's understandable to be in an escapist mood when you don't know what is going to come next. I can directly relate, I have about two weeks left until I find out the same news.
Karin, here's hoping that we both get the best news possible! Good luck to you!
Hi Casey! I hope all will go well and that you will get the news you want. I hope Karin will be okay also. I had no idea she was going through something like that. Don't worry about your room, Casey. Just leave it like that for now or else put your timer on for ten minutes and tidy up for ten minutes and repeat the process tomorrow. Life is too short to worry about cleaning. The heck with it. And if you don't feel like doing minies, don't. Do something you want to do. Like read a good novel. I have discovered such a good author lately and I am reading all her books. Her name is Elin Hilderbrand and she likes on Nantucket Island and all her stories take place in Nantucket in case you're interested. I get all my books at the library. See ya tamarra! Chuckling! We need to laugh, right! It's good for us!
Hi Casey, The garden and nature always gives me peace. I love to just sit and watch the coming and going of the insects or the way the breeze moves the foliage. Birds come and go and the hummingbirds being so territorial click at me to warn me of their presence.
At this time of year I am reluctant to spend any time insie if it is warm enoubh to be out.
Lovely photographs. I will think of you tomorrow and sen you all the best.
regards Janine
Those honeysuckle are gorgeous! And I completely understand your logic. I use the same variety all the time lol. Fingers crossed that you and Karin both get good news on the testing! You're both in my thoughts <3
I am sending you a big hug for that last treatment and wish you the very best.
Hugs,
Meredith
