Strange Days...

We are towards the end of the monsoon season.  This year, we have had a LOT of rain.

Proof?  Here it is.  My favorite rose bush is full of buds and flowers!  I picked five and put them in one of Seth's hand thrown vases.  I like the colors together.

April's husband has been doing pottery for years and is very good at it!  When he asks what I want for Christmas, I always say pottery.  I have quite a collection and use it all of the time.  Love his work.

Now about the bathroom.  Here's the finished furniture.

I couldn't find a faucet, so I made one with a jewelry head pin, wrapped with the aluminum insulating tape.  It turned out pretty good.

The rest of the hardware is just jewelry findings and beads.
Tessie has the only toilet that keeps an eye on you while you are in the bathroom.  I couldn't resist using one of the African trade beads that has an eye in the design.

I still have to fill up the other open shelf.  I just have to decide what will go in there.

Tessie approves of all of the additions to the bathroom now.  I took out the window frame that was irritating her.

Maybe now she will let me get back to work on the rest of the cottage.  I would like to finish this soon, so that I can get back to reality...

It is really fun, but a lot of thinking before doing anything. Oh well.  I'm having fun.  It can't be all bad!

Maybe I will try to finish the kitchen tomorrow.

See you then!

Hi Casey! The bathroom is unique with those fanciful pieces you created. I love all the jewelry findings you used and the mirror is so very well done. All the effort you have put into this has certainly paid off. I also love the colours you picked for the pieces you created. All in all, it's a very striking room. I look forward to seeing what you will do with the kitchen.

If it was me... I'd opt for some spare rolls of toilet paper.

It's a lovely bathroom. I'm enjoying this build no end.

What a GRAND FINALE! Love the finished bathroom fixtures and fittings Casey, and the eye on the toilet tank makes me chuckle! A SPLENDID little detail that makes any visitor stop to consider if I "REALLY have to Go"... or if maybe I could I wait until I get home? heeheehee
Well done! :D

Casey, I came back because I was doing my dishes, yes at 10:32 at night, and I remembered that I forgot to tell you how much I love your roses and the lovely vase your grandson made. He is talented like his grandmother!

Lucille! Seth is my son in law! My grandson is only three. He has made a couple of pieces for me, but they are more like lumps... No bowls. G
