Treetop Living...

I cleaned out the living room yesterday and noticed that the appliances were back to the modern ones...

Tessie informed me that she was NOT going to cook on a stove that had to be fed wood if she wanted to cook things.  To be specific, "I am not chopping wood for anybody, much less for a cook stove!".

Actually, I was going to change back anyway.  Don't tell her that!  The old ones didn't really fit the shape of the kitchen.
It seems that, when I am not watching, she is making all kinds of decisions.  I walked out of the room to cook breakfast and when I returned, I found this!

She got Zar to help nail down the roof and then proceeded to cover the back half with a bag of the greenery.

Thank goodness she couldn't find the big glue bottle... The small one in the photo is empty!
At least, now I know that the greenery will work... Never mind that I have to put it all back in the bag and take the roof off to finish the inside. Zar was on my side on that one.  I looked and he only put four nails in.  One in each corner and easy to pry up.

She is making decisions right and left.  I glued in the fireplace yesterday... She has decided that the little corner piece is not necessary to the bed. That has been designated as "her place to sit".

Now she wants a "Real" coffee table... "Similar to the one that Zar has in his den with the sunken living room and Spanish fireplace.  You know, the one with the curved stairs and the wormy bookshelves, as she calls them.

Anyway, she is making a long list of changes.  I had best get to work.  The sooner I finish this, the sooner it will be change free.  She won't change it when I get it done.  It's only while the decorating process is going on.

OK.  I have to go shove a lot of leaves back in the bag.  At least I know now that I have enough greenery to cover the whole roof.

Back to work.

See you tomorrow.

How WONDERFUL this is going to look, once the greenery is installed!!!! It is so Atmospheric and has an Enchanted look, as if one is deep in the heart of the forrest amongst the fairies! Every little detail gets you one step closer and yet it appears suddenly to feel like a GIANT LEAP!
Well done Casey and Well Done Tessie and Zar! :D

What luck that Zar had the presence of mind to put in only four nails! Dear Zar! He saved the day! As for Tessie, well, in a way she did help you by showing you that you did have enough grass for the roof so she gets points for that. So, I'll let you get on with your "Tessie assigned chores". I suppose she is probably checking up on everything as you go along. What would you ever do without her? Never a boring moment with her around!

She can't have the tree spirits of her new house attacking her for chopping up trees and burning them. Smart move by Tessie, it probably saved her life!

Hello Casey,
I am just blown away by your cottage. The design of the rooms is magnificent and looks like it belongs in a real life decorator magazine. You have really transformed the kit and I can't wait to see more. Loving it!
Big hug,
Giac
