One Out of Three Isn't Bad....

The good part was, Amare and April came over this morning...

Here, when we pose with snowmen, we do it barefoot and like it.

We did put a mat on the ground. The new rocks in the front yard are sharp to walk on...
Now the bad part.  I had big plans for doing a gingerbread house with Amare and April this morning... I got this at a store(that will not be mentioned) this morning.  I imagine that you can guess which store from other posts.

Pre assembled?  Maybe it was at one time.  When I got it home and opened the SEALED box, the house itself was a big pile of cookie crumbs.  I am taking it back tomorrow.

We managed to find lots of other things to do, but it was very irritating that they seal the boxes so that you can't check them and then toss them on the shelves to crumble!

This one is just semi bad.  I have been wondering where the DVD player that Walter got me in 2006 was hiding... I found it in the top of the hall closet in a carrying case...

Turned it on.  Commercials ran.  Then nothing.

Walter is good with electronics and he finally got it going...Would you believe that he kept thumping the door of the DVD compartment and it would run for a bit and then stop...

We tried Buffy the Vampire Slayer discs.  Nothing... He tried A Hard Day's Night.  Nothing.  Finally I went and got an old copy of Cowboy Bebop, the movie.  That was the one that he got running by hitting it over the head...

Did I mention that, for some reason, the sound track was coming in, in French... And it had English subtitles... I didn't even know it provided a French sound track.  I always had it in English...

Needless to say, Buffy and Spike weren't impressed with that.  I was hopeful that the machine was still working.  The possibility for a big screen TV in a room box was my goal...

Unless I have Walter stand beside the box and thump on the door to keep it going... I don't think that is happening now.  Maybe a miracle will occure... If it does, big screen man cave for Walter, here we come... I am not holding my breath though.

Back to work.  See you tomorrow...

Hi Casey! Your Big snowman turned out Wonderfully and Amare looks pretty pleased with it too! How adorable to have a snowman with a hat and scarf standing next to your cute little guy in short sleeves and no shoes! Where I live, Amare would be as bundled up as the snowman! :))

Amare looks so cute standing next to the snowman. Too bad about your ginger bread house. It has snowed all day here in Ottawa and it will snow all night with scattered flurries tomorrow. I am finally starting not to like winter as much as I used to. I never thought this would happen. The landlord locked the heat in our apartment at 72 and I'm freezing. I have to constantly fiddle with the the thermostat. I've been going to bed wearing leg warmers and sox. That's how cold it is in here. Lucky you to be in the desert!

me alegro de que encontrases el DVD ,aunque no creo que sea demasiado practico tener que ir golpeando la tapa para hacerlo funcionar
que rabia lo de la casita de gengibre ,es muy frustante
Amare esta muy grande y guapo
