Sick of Staying Indoors...

I don't think that it makes any difference where I work... As long as I keep working.

I decided that I would work on the spiral staircase for a while this morning.

April and Amare are coming over this morning.  That will mean a few hours with my favorite mini.  So, I am not going to stay on here very long.  I need to get a few things done before they show up.

I am trying out the foam core to see how big the stairs have to be.... Obviously larger than the pieces that I cut.
I am also going to have to manipulate the tree around to an angle where people can get under the branches or I will have to trim it.

I started out, trying it without a platform at the top.  I think that it is going to have to have a landing at the top.

Everything is multi use around here.  The sticks holding the steps up are some of the weavers for my magazine baskets... Hey they are free and they work!
When Tessie showed up, she took one look and said, "I can probably make it to the fourth step before I hit my head or fall off, or both at the same time.  This is never going to work."

I just kept working and mumbled, "Never say never, Tessie."

Spike made it all the way to the top.  But then, he is a lot lighter than Tessie. I doubt that she would even make it to the fourth step before the magazine rods would start collapsing.

I am going back now and try to do a bit more, before April and Amare arrive.

See you tomorrow.

Hello Casey,
the steps are looking great! Don't pay any attention to Tessie.
I hope you have fun with your #1 miniature.
Big hug,
Giac

Amazing idea to do a spiral stair case around a tree. I have never seen that before! -Ara
