Steampunk, We Have a Problem....

I am mostly done with the moving of books... Notice I said mostly.

I have a few strays that I have to find homes for, but I do have spaces in each category, so it won't be long until it is all finished.
I kept this side pretty much the same, except for moving books in and out.
This side was the one that I changed.  Especially on the right side.

You see, there is a problem with the glass shelves in this bookcase.  They are supported by some little plastic gadgets on each side.  The back of the shelves are supposed to be held up by a wood piece with a groove in it... The trouble is....That is not held up by anything.  I don't know who designed this, but they did a terrible job.

Those same wood pieces have lights installed behind to light the shelves... Wood piece with lights attached and not supported by anything what so ever... Disaster.  Waiting to  happen.

The glass slips out of the back groove regularly and I have had two of them come crashing down and break.  One in half and the other one in half with a triangular piece out of the front.  I have learned to make sure that there are some tall books under the center of all of the glass shelves.  Or in the case of the one on the bottom right, a large room box with some books on top to equal the height of the shelf.

The unit is quite old, so there is nothing to be done.  I fixed it as best I could and Walter helped me get things back in line yesterday... Thank You Walter!!!

I got all of the stuff in the workroom bookcases where they were to go... Then the Steampunk fairy flitted by and  pushed my elbow into the corner of two of the boxes of Steampunk findings sitting on one of the higher shelves...

I guess the Steampunk fairy didn't like the way I had things nicely sorted in the boxes....

Anybody want to hazard a guess as to what I will be doing the rest of the day?

First I have to get all of the little, tiny pieces out of the rug... Then a sorting I will go...

See you tomorrow.

Oh no! I guess you will not be vacuuming the carpet until EVERY little item is accounted for!

Wow, Casey! That must have been some mess to pick up! Everything looks very nice and tidy! It must give you a good high. You know that "high" after we've just finished a hard job!

Hi Casey, sorry I'm late. What a lot of work you have done, even without clearing up the mess! What a shame!! The display cases are looking so much clearer now and your room boxes really stand out - I didn't realise you had so many.
Don't ware yourself out...

So sorry about dropping all your steampunk stuff. Maybe Zar has some type of metal detector? What is the room Tessie is sitting in in picture 3? It looks lovely. Hugs, Sarah

Frustrating but you may find when sorting that all sorts of wonderful steampunk ideas come to mind.
