I Need Gesso!!!

If you need me, I will be in the bathroom.  The one in  Daisy's Cottage...

Experimentation is the name of the game this morning.

That is #3 pearl cotton that you see squiggling around the doorway.
I decided that the doorway needed a little something extra.

I took my white glue applicator and drew where I wanted the thread to be.  Then I simply started laying a path on either side of the door.

I painted it to see what it would look like.  I will probably add a bit more detail before I finish.

I definitely need some gesso to blend the design into the rest of the wall, but so far, I like it.
I also painted and installed the three shelves in the corner of the bath too.

Still no toilet or sink... I may just pull a Brooke Tucker and just suggest the toilet....Behind the open door...

After all, what little person likes to clean toilets any more that a regular sized person does?

Tessie stood over me with her sharp, pointy stick yesterday afternoon.  She insisted that I do another Tiny 1/2" Tessie...

I got this far and then refused to go any further. My eyes are beginning to be permanently crossed, from looking through a magnifying glass and wielding a toothpick and tiny stylus....I need a break.  Ouch!!! That was the result of Tessie using the sharp pointy stick in my ribs!...She no longer has said sharp, pointy stick.... And she is locked in the workroom all by herself.

I am off to get gesso.

See you tomorrow.

I absolutely love what you have done to that doorway with the yarn! I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be on your eyes to work such a small scale on a face!

Hi Casey, you are one mini making maniac. I am always amazed by all the work you get done in a weeks time! The door way looks amazing. Goodluck Gesso hunting... I hate that stuff! ;p Perhapse it's the salt air or something but everytime I tried using Gesso it went WRONG!
Hope you have better luck.
Hugs AM
