Beginning the End...

I did the window this morning.  I used the copper to match the window in the bedroom.  I still wish I could find my lead tape.

I installed the tub and the window.  I had to do the tub first, because it holds the bottom of the window frame in place.

After I got it installed, I did a coat of gesso over the edges.  I will have to do another one after this one is thoroughly dry to make sure that the frame blends with the wall.
As soon as Tessie found the installed tub, she climbed in to see if it "worked".  It did.  No water, but she liked the fit.

I cut down the high plant stand and made it into a tub height table... Tessie immediately installed the phone there. She explained, "Someone might need to get a hold of Daisy whilst she is in the tub.".

I think it was more with the idea of someone trying to get a hold of Tessie when she was in the tub.

I went out of the room when Walter came home.

When I returned, this is what I saw...

Tessie had borrowed some of Zar's throw pillows and some of my cookies.

I think that she is in the tub for the rest of the day.

Another case of "the best laid plans"...

Maybe I will work downstairs in the kitchen or living room for the rest of the day...

Or maybe I will finish rearranging all of my books.  I started yesterday.  I am trying to get all books of one kind in one place, so that I will have some idea of where everything is.

It has been several years since I last did that and everything is. once again, scattered to the winds....

Back to work.

See you tomorrow.

You did a lot of nice work, Casey. I love that tub! I know what you mean when you say everything is scattered to the wind. I'm reorganizing my bedroom and trying hard to get everything sorted as quickly as possible. I hate clutter!

Sorry Casey, I missed this post. The tub looks great, I love the detail you added and the tiles really work well. This room is really coming along now.
Well done
