Spackle and Paint...Spackle and Paint.....

It seems like I have done this before.... Many times...

I finished the gesso this morning.  Then I cut of some ears...No... Not Tessie's.

The little ears that were sticking out from the floor on all of the corners.  I already had it all glued together and really, really dry.  So I just took the razor saw and hacked them off.  It will be much easier to put stonework on the corners(if Tessie talks me into it), with them gone.
Tessie and Spike sat in the wicker chair(without cushion) while I worked and kept complaining on the comfort factor....Zero.

Hey!  I didn't ask them to sit there.  I had to work around them all morning... The last straw was when I went to paint the living room walls. I finally asked them, nicely, to go elsewhere.  Whereupon they vacated to the kitchen.  Only to keep sticking their heads around the corner of the door to watch the progress.

Wouldn't you know it?  As soon as I finished, they came in, nodded in approval and left the premises.

I used Ceramcoat Midnight blue.  It needs another layer once it dries. This is one of my favorite colors for walls and thank goodness, Daisy approves.  Since I couldn't use the dark blue wallpaper, this will do just fine.

As you can see, I did do the stucco on the outside too.  It has to dry and then I will sand down some of the bumps.  Real people around here do it on real houses and call it lacework. I guess that this would be petite lacework.

Then I will get down to business and paint it and do some stonework...I am in a rut.  I like stonework on my cottages.

I just heard the cookie jar lid rattle, I have to go.  Sometimes Tessie forgets and lets go of the lid, before she gets out of the jar...She just yelled for help and Spike is barking loudly.

See you tomorrow.

I love the Midnight Blue! Now I'm curious as to what colour you will select for the furniture! I hope Tessie didn't steal too many cookies!

Hi Casey! I love the color of the Living Room and the way that it ties in with the kitchen wall paper. A beautiful color and a beautiful transition from one room to the other!
