Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs.....

OK.  Leave it to Tessie to solve the lock problem...

She and Zar made signs...I have a suspicion that, between the two of them, they have learned to use the greeting card program on the computer.  Not a good thing.

I will probably start running into signs all over the house...

First she came up with warning signs.  She didn't measure well.  It took two of them to cover the lock.  And they were a bit negative.

"Danger! Do Not Enter! This means YOU!"

"NO Trespassing!  And she didn't spell check it..."

I told her "no" on those two.  I am sure that she will try to use them anyway.

Next she went for the cookie approach.  At least, this time, she got the size large enough to cover the lock with one sign and then some.

They can always go off to the side and just the corner of the sign over the Plexiglas.

The first one was a bit belligerent. "Come in if you are carrying cookies! Otherwise, don't even knock!"

When I told her not to use that one she came up with a party... The sign says, "Party Time!!! Come on in!!! Admission, Ten Cookies!"

I tried explaining that you can't charge for entry into a party... She countered with, "But it's for charity!  I have a need for cookies!"

At that point, I threw up my hands and left the room...
I decided to let her go with the third set.

The first one says, "Go Away Now. I am a WITCH with a broom and I know how to use it!".

All she ever does with the broom is sweep and fly.  What is she going to do?  Sweep people out the door?  Buzz around their ears and threaten them?

I am hoping that she uses the last one.  It says. "Knock Softly.  Witch Sleeping. Shhhhh.

Anyway, the signs will keep us happy until something else surfaces.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.  Who knows?  Maybe I will decide to use one of them.

I am going back now and try to work around a sleeping witch...

See you tomorrow.

I was thinking a little bird house could cover the lock but I like the signs, but if you use the last lot of signs does that mean the house is definitely Tessies?

Well, it is as good a solution as any. It would seem this is going to be Tessie's place so let her solve the problem :-)

You can drill the heads off the rivets. Takes a steady hand but not an impossible task. Once the head is off you will be able to remove the rivet by punching it out or pulling from the back side.

Thanks Karin. Maybe I miss spoke. These are more like eyelets on belt buckles. They are a tube that goes through the plexiglas and the edges are rolled outwards on both sides. I have not run into this kind of fastener before. Not really a rivet, but I don't know what else to call it.
