It may not look like much to you, but this is two complete days of hard work.
I should have taken a before photo. You saw what was piled on the bed. I whittled it down to this!
In the process, I weeded out even some fabric that I brought from our previous house...We have been here around 15 years.
Does that tell you how bad the closet needed cleaning?
Now...Not today, but in the near future, I will clean out the closet in the computer room...It is a regular sized closet with double folding doors.
It used to be April's room and there are still a few remnants from when she lived here...Long ago...
It has fabric, yarn, books, and other odds and ends...I am not looking forward to that one.
While I was cleaning out, I found these two bags that I started and haven't yet finished. I am glad that I didn't. Now I can put a pocket on them for my cell phone...Yup. These were before I broke down and started carrying my cell phone in my purse.
I also found the start of a hand pieced quilt. I am going to have to work on that one of these days. It may change it's mind and want to be a pillow instead.
Today is the mini meeting, so I am taking it easy until then. I dragged out this start of a rug. There is a full pattern somewhere under rugs, from when I first designed it. There are now 96 rug entries in the label section....Good luck finding it...I do know that it's there. I just don't know where. I am going to have to put in a new category...Rug Patterns. But not right now.
I am going to put my feet up and stitch.
By the way, the URL for the bog coat entry, yesterday, was wrong. It is http://caseymini.blogspot.com/2010/01/tessies-sewing-box.html Sorry about the mix up. It is at the bottom of this entry.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey! I am sure that you must be feeling a real sense of achievement by having your fabric closet so well organized. It is amazing just how soothing order can be, even if you are always messing it up once you get busy again. But Your efforts are paying off, Casey, your closet looks great!

Congratulations for your work with the closet, I envy you...I've have to start the same just in these days!!
I think I'll try to find the rug within your old posts,it's very nice...
Ciao ciao franca
Closet looks great. I so understand that it takes a lot of time! Sorting through ongoing projects, ironing, folding, deciding whether to keep or throw away... Thank you for reminding me I should do some organising of my own!

I really like the design and colouring of the partly completed rug you found. Well done on getting your cupboard sorted. Always a good feeling.

Good Job, Ive to do that to my hall closet upstair but I think I'll just buy those bags that you can suck the air out of and they shink your stuff down to nothing.

I just started doing rugs, and I love it, (but I'm slow and I guess I can do 2 rugs a year, but I will keep working on them) and this pattern looks great =) I could not help myself and looked trough that 96 posts just to find out more about it ;) Here is the address I found it on: http://caseymini.blogspot.se/2012/04/somewhat-sidetracked.html =) Hannah
