As of yesterday, I had 993 followers....Thank you all for putting up with all of our nonsense!
Tessie and I talked it over, with a bit of butting in from Zar. We have all decided that 999 would be a good place to hold a drawing. Non of those even hundreds and thousands for us. 999 is the magic number this time.
Please don't broadcast the drawing from your blogs. I would like the last six people to just sign up naturally. It is more fair that way. Nobody will just be signing up because someone publicised a drawing.
And besides, that will give us more time to fill all of the holes.
What holes? The ones in the cherry wood bases for a matching chair, settee, table and footstool. I will be wickering my little fingers to the bone as soon as the 252 wires are in place.
The drawing is open to followers up to 999. I won't open it until the list reaches that number. It will be a random drawing and the winner will get the four pieces of wicker that I just started. I have a way to go yet, so don't hurry...I will be doing them in a natural tan and when the winner is drawn, that person will get a choice of fabrics for cushions.
Anyway, I have to go cut 252 wires and shove them through the holes, with Tessie's help. She stands on the other side and pulls them to the 1 1/4" mark on the ruler for the chair and settee. That's how high the seat is from the floor. The other ones are more complicated, but we will get them done too.
Assembly line will get the job done a bit faster than just doing one piece all the way through.
I have to get back to work. Tessie is nagging. I will let you know when to sign up. Keep an eye on the follower's numbers.
