That was Tessie, trying out the new wicker sofa this morning. There is hope yet. At least it is long enough for two people, maybe even three, to sit comfortably.
I finished the bottom section of weaving last night. The sofa will not necessarily match the rocker. It will be in the same feel though.
April and the baby arrived, with presents and cake in hand, yesterday afternoon. Since Walter is in Detroit and Seth is in Alaska, above the Arctic Circle, we decided to have a party without them. We are staying in warm, cozy AZ.
April brought me a present....Well, it was my present until Tessie got a look at it. She thanked April profusely and threatened to stomp on my fingers if I tried to take it back.
I don't think that I could sit in it anyway. It's a bit small...
Zar did try to talk her out of it, but to no avail.
I think that she slept in it last night.
He did manage to get her out of it this morning though.
I had a piece of the Chocolate Mocha Cake for breakfast. Hey! Don't scold. If I am going to have a birthday, I get to do what I want.
Anyway, I left the box sitting on the counter and went to check my e mail.
When I went back to the kitchen to put it away, they were both in the box helping themselves. When I tried to shoo them out, they both started throwing the lumps of frosting from around the edge of the cake at me.
Then they realied that they were wasting perfectly good mocha chocolate and stopped.
Between the two of them, they managed to get the lid closed and refused to come out.
I solved the problem by putting them, box and all, into the fridge. Sooner or later they are going to start yelling about the cold.
When they do, I will let them out, without cake. That is, if there is any left.... I do hope that they don't finish it. I might want another piece for lunch....I guess that I should save a piece for Walter when he arrives home tonight.....I'll have to think about that.
See you tomorrow.
