Rainy Sunday in Tucson?

Yes. It actually does rain here on occasion. It is gray and drizzly this morning. After yesterday's search for wicker pieces, I decided that this would be a good day to stay warm and cozy and clean out the two wicker drawers. You wouldn't believe what I found in them that was supposed NOT to be in them. Let's not talk about it. I will just say that the two drawers are now one drawer....Get the idea?

Tessie helped....The only problem with that was, she kept finding unfinished one inch scale pieces that she wants me to finish.

Then, bless her, she picked up one of the half inch forms for a chase and discovered that there were already holes drilled in it. Her eyes are much closer to the subject than mine.

Bless her again, because she also found the bundle of #32 gage wire. I told you yesterday that I thought I was using #26....Nope. That wouldn't fit in the holes. It's been a while since I did half inch and I forgot...

The wire in question is finer than a regular straight pin.

Anyway, here's the "after" photo. I discovered that I had a LOT of un-dyed thread that could go towards making browns and greens. I think that I am going to have to unwind and dye some of it one of these days. Maybe on another drizzly day like this one. It takes most of a day to do it. It's just a good thing that I have a niddy noddy for putting the thread in lose skeins for dying. And I have a thread winder that will put it back where it belongs after it is dry. Now all I need is the urge to do it.

I found lots of bases for different furniture, some drilled and some not. Then I got into unfinished pieces.

If Tessie wants all of these, I am in trouble. The dark green one on the left is finished....The plant stand at the back just needs braided trim and cutting the wires.

The camel colored table laying to the left needs trim, cross braces on the legs and wire cutting.

The white chair is the one she was messing with the most...She likes the chair, but not the color. The other two pieces are hardly started. I think that I have my work cut out for me if she has her way....You know what I always tell her...."Don't hold your breath, Tessie!"

Maybe I will weave for a while. It is a nice thing to do on a rainy day.

See you tomorrow.
