Thank goodness for Sliders!!! A few months ago, I moved the huge cat tree into the bedroom and rearranged a lot of other furniture. I was never happy with the arrangement.
In one of the "wake up at 3AM with a great idea" moments, I decided to move the cat tree back to the living room. If I did that, I had to find a place to put Cordelia's house. I had to move something else into the bedroom to make a place to put her house and the table it sits on. That table doesn't look large but it has a big footprint. Being circular, you can't just push it against a wall and let it go at that.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.....We have had Cordelia's table(without house) sitting in the family room corner where Tessie's Townhouse is/was....
This is where the Sliders come in. I put four of them under the cat tree and slid it into the living room...Then I had to take them out and put them under the townhouse. There is no way I could move that by myself without them. It's not a very big house, but it is realllllly heavy.
OK. Are you with me so far? Between loads of wash and vacuuming, I am sliding furniture from one room to another like a madwoman. The cat tree is now where it started out, in the living room. Cordelia's place is now in the family room corner....
Ta Da! Tessie has moved into the bedroom. There is a method to my madness. There is a big screen TV in there. If I turn it on and get to work, maybe I can finally finish Tessie's Townhouse and get onto something new...
It could be dangerous though. When I first moved it into the bedroom, Tessie perched on the railing of the roof garden to watch TV. She is worse that I am. A TV addict for sure.
I talked her down from there and strongly suggested that she find a safer place to sit.
She is now ensconced on an old chaise lounge that I made her several years ago....I strongly suspect that she had it hidden in one of her storage rooms. There are doors here and there just above the baseboards of the real house in several places. I showed you one that she had in the computer room a couple of years ago. There have since been several more added.
I don't dare ask what's in them, let alone open them. Once in a while I will be looking for something that's missing. She innocently sidles up to me and says, "What'cha looking for?"
I tell her. A few minutes later, the item magically appears. I find the item in question and she exclaims, "It's always in the last place you look....."
Of course it is. Why would I look anywhere else if I just found what I was looking for??? Simple logic.
I am now going back to finish moving and to make sure that Tessie hasn't fallen off the roof. If I am sleep deprived from now on, it will be because I couldn't get Tessie to turn off the TV. Maybe once I finish cleaning the workroom, I will have space in there....But don't count on it....
See you tomorrow.

You sure having Tessie's home in your room a good idea? She is going to being waking you up at night with her 3am ideas!
Audra, you have a very good point! I am trying to think of some other arrangement. It will have to wait until I finisn cleaning out the workroom...
Casey, to add to what Audra said, she might also decide she wants to watch tv in the middle of the night when you're snoozing away. I really am LOL!
