As you know, Wednesday is a day for fast projects....This is about as fast as you can get!
I grabbed the smaller of the two birdcages that I bought last week. I spray painted it ivory.
I cut a piece of vinyl floor tile to fit the bottom and pilfered furniture from one of the other gazebos, made from another birdcage. OK so I cheated on the furniture. I will make some to fit later.
Tessie couldn't wait to try it out. She has been asking for a safe place in the backyard...To quote her, "I want someplace where the hawk and the baby roadrunner can't bother me. I don't like either of them! They look at me like I am something to eat for lunch! Bad birds!".
Here's the solution. If Tessie and Zar want to have an outdoor lunch in safety, so be it.
The nice thing about this project, aside from taking only fifteen minutes, is it can sit on a table....Or when they get bored it can go on a Shepard's hook or in a tree.
When they aren't there, it is a nice outdoor mini to have hanging around.
I may just have to make a few more of these. It is very pretty hanging in the garden.
Now I have to go get ready to go to Wednesday Witches. We are going downtown to Witch Judy's restaurant for lunch and maybe even a quick visit to the Tucson Museum of Art.
See you tomorrow.

Lovely addition to your garden, Casey. Lucky Tessie and Zar! Imagine, their own outdoor gazebo safe from predators. Can Life be any finer than that?
Really cute!
Hi! I'm a new official follower, but I've been reading for a while, and you inspired me to start my own dollhouse blog, about revamping a dollhouse (and making stuff for it) cheaply. I love your work; it's so intricate!
Anyway, hello! Love Tessie and Zar's adventures, and I look forward to reading more of them. :)
Also-also: using a birdcage for minis is a brilliant idea!
