The Neverending Story.....

Hey look! There is actually a floor at the bottom of the bookcase!

This side of the room is looking pretty good. As you can see, I sat my handy dandy iPad in the bookshelf, turned it on and went to town.

Someone wanted to see what was in all of the plastic boxes. Here you go.

I don't know what I would do without my Dymo label maker. Yes, these boxes are see through, but it is still easier with information on the outside. If you poke the photo, you can see the labels and what's in this one shelf of boxes. Every one is full to the brim. I also don't know what I would do without the Plano boxes from the fishing department of Walmart. I think that I am keeping them in business all by myself.

I also have the closet all straightened. I am working my way around the room. Slowly, but surely. See? I really do have a skeleton in my closet. His name is George. He keeps me company while I work.

On the shelf beside him is another one of my favorite things for storage. they are the plastic pencil boxes that Walmart sells every year before school starts. After school starts, they go on sale dirt cheap. That's when I get them. They come in two sizes and the larger ones are perfect.

Directly below that, there is a set of drawers that I got in the tool department. They used to sell them to store screws, nails and small parts. Come to think of it, I haven't seen those lately.

Below that are the ever popular utility storage drawers....I noticed yesterday that they have more than doubled in price since I bought mine years ago.

All of the flat things like cutting boards, large sketch books and stretcher bars are standing upright in an old magazine rack in the corner. That at least keeps them somewhat straight.

As I was working, I came across another quarter scale wall house that I was messing with a couple of months ago. The house itself is not much to look at, but it has possibilities. Lots of rooms.

I glued the wallpaper and floors on the top floor while I was at it. I had cut them the last time I had the house out.

I am missing a piece of the brick paper that I had cut for the attic....I am sure that I cut it, but it ran away and hid somewhere.

Somehow magically, while I was papering, furniture started appearing in all of the rooms. Then I saw it. Do you see it?

Tessie zapped herself to 1/4 her usual size. She stole the blue daybed from the Tudor quarter inch house and a lot of furniture from other places. Here we go again.

I am thinking that I will make the tall bottom section on the left and outside backyard scene and the one on the right a front door kind of scene, since there doesn't seem to be a logical progression to the rooms. The two largest rooms are on the top floor and seem to want to be a bedroom and a living room at this point. We shall see.......

Nothing but the paper is glued in or fastened down so far. I just might end up with a whole wall full of Quarter scale houses. They are addictive....Tessie says so. I think that she just wants more houses.....

See you tomorrow.

Looks great! Thanks for pointing out your storage cases. I need to check the fishing dept at Walmart for sure.

No, no, this will never do! Your workroom is just TOO NEAT..and you're making my work area look terrible by comparison.

*grumble* Now I'll have to get to work on my own space. I'll try to watch a hoarding show before I start. That usually terrifies me enough that I'll clean like a maniac!

Um, where's Tessie? You didn't accidently put her in a box, didja? It's awful quiet......

Merri, go back and look carefully. Tessie zapped herself to 1/4" scale and is playing in the wall house. Oops! She just resized herself.....Back to normal....For her anyway.

I love the 7 drawer storage units! I have three of them and am wishing for a fourth. They're insanely expensive online but Walmart has a pretty good price on them.

I had my workroom and mini materials all nice and organized - and then I started sewing full size items! It looks like there was an explosion in there.

Making full scale items sure takes up a lot more room, too . . .

It looks very organized! I'm a bit jalous ;) I hope you can keep it this neat! Whenever I clean up like that it usually lasts about a week before the floor has disappeared under the stuff again XD

Yay for magazine racks and the storage of sketchbooks and things-that-must-be-kept-flat. I mus admit, I'm fascinated by your neatly packed room, full of treasure like a gypsy caravan. I'm almost tempted to go and do my own...
