The Name of the Show Is......

"Clean Workroom, the Messiest Workroom in the Country!" OK. So it's not original. If you have ever seen that show, some of the houses on "Clean House" make my workroom look neat. At least I can actually walk in and sit down in the one and only chair.

This morning, when I finally got around to starting, yes I said starting, this is how it looked.

I did the rest of the house while Walter was gone. I kept toting armloads of miscellaneous debris into the workroom. I promised myself to get to it ASAP....Usually this means sometime when I am in the mood....

This time, I couldn't wait, because I could hardly manage to get into the room, let alone move around.

I am happy to report that I am making progress. I now have paths so that I can move from one section to the other, without tripping over an elephant, hiding under a pile of books, or being attacked by rattlesnakes, hanging from shelves by their tails.

Of course, Tessie spent the whole time watching from the monkey's back, that hangs from the fan cord. Simple things amuse simple people.....
It really isn't nice for her to laugh and point like that. Totally unnecessary!

I have managed to rearrange things in the bookcase where Zar's house is sitting...He thanked me profusely for at least clearing a path, so that he can get into the Clockwork Cottage.
Tessie was not a gracious about it. She keeps demanding to know, "Just what are you doing? My townhouse is vegetating whilst you muck about in here!" She seems to adopt an English accent when annoyed.

She tried to get up to Zar's house. Now she is hanging onto the door sill...She underestimated the length of the zap. Now she is whining and whinging for help getting in.

I'm leaving that to Zar. His house. His call as to whom he is willing to have as a guest.

Personally, I do hope that he drags her inside. If she gets in there, she will be occupied for a couple of hours. She is still trying to find a way to get into the secret laboratory.

This could take a while.....I am DEEP cleaning.

See you tomorrow.

After seeing a few craft/work rooms I have to now believe that mine are rather tidy! lol ;o) I do however, just like you HAVE to tidy up once in a while because I lose things or I can't remember where I put something...that time is coming soon! lol

I don't however, have someone like Tessie...not sure if that's a good thing or not! lol :o))

Your shelf looks nice and organized. All those labeled containers look very interesting, I'd like to see what is inside them. To see how things can be neatly stored, not to be nosey of corse. lol

I know what you're going through, Casey! Just hang in there! That's what I've been doing. I've been cleaning out my closets, armoires, bookcases, and drawers for a month now. Why is it so hard to give things away or just throw them out? Anyways, I've been pretty good. I've given away tons of books I will never read again and given away tons of clothes and dishes. The hardest thing for me are my precious interior decorating magazines. I'm getting there, though. I'm going to do what you do and cut out only what I really like and put the pictures in a scrapbook.

Lucille...I am not going that far. I have been doing this same thing for the past 25 years or so. Something comes in. Something else has to go to make room. Over and over. It is neverending!

Empathy here. My storage room/book room and used to be office has paths and I can get around and find some of the stuff I want to find BUT ...

This is a fun one! Thanks for showing us the "before"! Now I can't wait to see the "after." I need to do some serious tidying of craft supplies myself, but no time these days. Hopefully SOON! :-)

What do you do, open the door close your eyes and just throw in the stuff you want in there then slam it shut before anything falls out??? I used to have a closet like that...
