Don't ever let me get a harebrained idea like the pod chair in my head again! The thing is killing me. Between this and the cold, I am ready to go catatonic and sit in a corner for a couple of months.
I am not sure why, but I can't seem to put it down. It is once again, two in the afternoon and I finally had to stop. I looked in a mirror and my eyes are all swollen and watering....Some of that could be from the blowing wind outside, with pollen. Or it could be partially the cold. I suspect that mostly it is staring at the wires and trying to keep them straight hours at a time.
The first photo is what it looked like about 9 AM. The second one is how it looks now. I MUST STOP!!! NOW!
I am going to be doing a bit of ripping out tomorrow. For some reason, the top is going slanted. Sometimes it happens.
Tessie is still excited and yelling for me to finish.......I am not quite as enthusiastic as when I started.
Maybe a couple more days will do it.....Wish me luck!
See you tomorrow.

For as much of a pain it seems to be it really looks fab :-)
(((Casey))) wishing you warmth!
This looks like quite the project and it does look like it's coming along nicely, sorry it's giving you such trouble.
You will be so pleased when it is done. :)
luck!!! but if you could get tessie out of it for 5 minutes, you might get it finished.... :-))
Sorry about the grumpy growling. I am really having a good time doing it, but I wish it wouldn't take so long. I could have had 3 arm chairs, two tables and a settee finished in the same amount of time! Almost. Christine, you're right. Tessie is a bit of a nusance. I have quit for the day and she has nested once again.
Time for you to get better now so you can finish that chair!!!
Do some inhaling with some hot steam into your face and eyes and mouth under a towel.... that really helps a lot
It looks amazing, I can tell you that it would take me an year to do something like that :) Hope you get better soon,
Ira
I wish you all the luck you want, but I know you'll get there! You may feel you're harebrained, but boy, what a result!!!! I'm jealous.......
Take care and get well soon, and the pod is looking incredible!
I am thinking Tessie is only getting one of these chairs :) Hope you feel better soon Casey- and I have to agree with Ira- it would take me at least a year to make one of these! sure does look awesome!!!
WOW! I can't believe how quickly you're making that chair! What do you use to make the chair and all your other wicker furniture then?
I heard you don't use the normal stuff?
Hannah :)
