Having Fun Yet?

I think not! I went back to work on the roof of the cottage this morning. I realized that I have to finish the chimney end before putting the last piece on the front. It fits over the chimney. After looking for all of the pieces for about ten minutes(They were supposed to be all in one bag. I had things separated by category.) I found one of the pieces in a totally different place than it was supposed to be.

I checked to see that those pieces still fit. Who knows? They might have shape shifted. It has been a couple of months since I last saw them....

I started putting the back roof pieces in place to better understand how they fit together.....OOPS!!! That's a big OOPS! I forgot that I changed the other end.

The left end of the roof, where I added a room no longer has the same roof line on both sides of the bathroom. I should have cut the wall between the two rooms to match the other bathroom wall.....I cut it to match the end wall. It is already in place. Permanently! So I have to cut a piece to make those two walls the same in order for the house to look right. GRRRRRRRR!

See the lady in the corner pulling her hair out by the roots and stomping on pieces of the house? Yup. That's me.

While I was doing all of this, Tessie was placidly relaxing in the lounge chair. Yes. She has gone back to her cottage. She left Zar in the cat tree whilst she is celebrating her six months in blogland.

I think that there is a little ulterior motive involved. She is quietly zapping extra furniture that I have made for her into the cottage. I am watching out of the corner of my eye. She now has the cottage pretty much turned into a self storage unit. And to think that she didn't even need a U Haul truck to do it!

Every once in a while I hear a heavy sigh....Then "Oh! If I only had more room for all of my stuff. I can hardly move in here...." Then another sigh.

I am going in there and tell her that she signed a year long lease and the contract can't be broken. Let's see her wiggle out of that one. There are no miniature lawyers around to help her. Zar has no head for business, being an eccentric scientist. And he is miffed at her right now anyway for leaving him to guard the cat tree.

I think that I am safe for a couple of days anyway.

I need a break from this. I am going shopping for April's and Seth's birthdays. They are 8 days apart. Celebration tomorrow. I am forgetting about the roofline for a couple of hours.

See you tomorrow.

I know what you mean about shape-shifting house parts. And I try to build my little projects with as little help from my husband, the housing inspector and engineer but I have to resort to it when it comes to roofs and advice in general. Congrats on six months! My girls' birthdays are this week and next, six days apart but one will be 19, the other 10! God's little funny on us.

Tessie, congratulations on six months of being in the blog. I think you had better go easy on Casey for a while though, or she might put you back in the glass box.
