I bought a new rug, new towels and a new shower curtain. Then I actually did big girl work. I cleaned the bathroom and installed the new stuff. Then I decided that it needed a new curtain in the window. I whipped one up in about a half hour's time. Just plain white. Basic side hems, top and bottom channels. It looks pretty good in there now. Why am I telling you all of this non mini stuff??? Because it was taking way too much time away from minis, according to Tessie.
I stopped to eat lunch and check the e mail. When I first got on the computer, Tessie was behind the screen on the desk scratching around. I wondered what she was doing. I didn't have to wait long. She appeared at the bottom left corner of the screen and proceeded to march up and down.
She has decided that the best form of communication is protest signs. The "Will Work for a Gazebo!" sign was not an offer. It was a threat! You see, when she wants me to do something, the best way to get me to do it is to threaten to go to work I knew that she wasn't offering to work on the gazebo. That would be too much like manual labor. She stomped up and down in front of the screen for a few minutes and then threw the sign down and disappeared. I had a bad feeling......
Yup! She always threatens to help with the stitchery. She is bad at it and she knows that I will have to rip out everything that she does and start over. Sometimes the tangles are so bad that it takes hours.
She was sitting on the edge of the gazebo in question and stitching on the Dutch Tile Rug that I designed a while ago and have decided to finish for the kitchen of the Clockwork Cottage.
All I have left is the background in the center and she is "fixing it". I took it away from her and came back in here to finish the blog.
She announced that today is a lost cause and she is going to start earlier tomorrow.....Oh Goody!!! I went and hid the rug.
She is now sitting on a bench in front of Hubert's Haberdashery above me. She is drinking from a glass of what she calls "Fruit Bat Punch". I am not sure that it doesn't contain a bit of alcohol....She is singing show tunes. "My Favorite Things" is the one she likes best. She makes up the favorite things as she goes along. There are a lot of creepy cats, big black bats, gnarly gnats and pointy hats in her version. It can go on for hours.
I can't stand it anymore. You win Tessie. I am going to work on the gazebo now.
See you tomorrow.

Lol.
ROFL! Sounds like she means business. Maybe if you feed her Irish coffees in the morning she will stay out of your way. You would still have to deal with her singing though. ;-)
Boy does she know how to get around you. She sure keeps you hopping. I love that rug. It is going to be beautiful when it is finished.
lol! Did you really scribble so small and neat? I love that rug too. Still to take pic of my crooked rug. Hope to show you soon. Kinda stuck at the moment but will probably start a new one soon!
Thank goodness Zar is more mild mannered- I don't know what you would do if you had more than Tessie to boss you around. I'm so glad she does though because she makes me smile every day :)
Casey I missed this post yesterday. But I have to say Tessie brings a smile to my face every day..
hehehe...so glad that Tessie is happy now.
