Anyway, she was busily clamping the frame to the kitchen door. She had seen me dry fitting it and assumed that was what I was going to do next. Thank goodness I had already trimmed the bottoms so that the floor would slide in under it. That way I don't have to trim the floor to fit around the sticking out parts. She had found the glue pot and a big stick(a bamboo skewer) to smear the glue onto the wood. She somehow managed to drag the big old binder clips that I use to hold the frames in place into the room.....That is one strong little witch! I can barely pinch them open wide enough to go around the three pieces of wood. By the time I got there, she had five of them in place. Remind me not to challenge her to an arm wrestling contest!
About that time Zar showed up. I was afraid that there was going to be a rematch from yesterday. Amazingly, she handed over the watch and fob without a word and went back to work. She just can't manage to add the apology to the actions. I think that Zar has figured out that it doesn't pay to argue. Lesson learned.
He stood behind her with his wrench, very quietly. I think that he was hoping that she would need rescuing. Nope. Tessie got the job done and turned around. When she saw him she shooed him out, saying"This is no job for a silly, wrench carrying man! This is witch's work!" He left without a word.
Shortly after, the glue was dry and I started to do the spackling. I did get the plaster in place before Tessie butted in once again. She told me firmly to go find Zar. "I will do the texturing. I am better at it than you. I can see closer up than you can." Who am I to argue? Let her do the work if she wants to. I am going to take a break and eat leftover Pineapple Cake from yesterday. I love having Wednesday Witches. I get to have leftovers the next day...
After my cake, I went back to see how she was doing. It was finished and ready for sanding and painting. Good going Tessie!
I don't think that I am going to be able to get into the kitchen to do any work for a while though. It seems that Tessie and Zar have made a tenuous pact to be friends for now......A picnic on the kitchen floor was in order.
Zar, gentleman that he is, spread out a zebra patterned rug on the floor and brought in pillows. Tessie insisted on the cappuccino machine and brought cookies and crackers. Both dogs are hoping for them to drop something. All is well at Clockwork Cottage, for now........
I think that I figured out why Tessie is being so helpful and nice. No. She's not taking the "Name Meaning Thingy" to heart. I believe that she has reasoned that the more she helps finish the Clockwork Cottage, the more inclined I will be to build her the Magnolia( A.K.A. Spiderwort Manor) I think I said it a couple of times this week....."Don't hold your breath, Tessie!"
See you tomorrow.

Lol. Tessie has really made me laugh just that extra bit today to the point my coffee spilled all down me and some splurted out of my mouth.
When i got to her painting i was almost wetting myself with laughter.
I think one night when you are sleeping Tessie neeeds to be let loose and do her own posting and blog all about how she see's things. You must, must, must let her free one night to blog.
Please, Please, Please!
Nikki, don't encourage her! I am of the firm belief that she is trying to take over the world, one little chunk at a time.
Maybe that's the reason I haven't sat down to sculpt my "Ezzie" (short for Esmeralda). She been in my head for about four or five years now.
I think she and Tessie would try to take over the world. If they work together from two bases of operation... oh dear gods... I am going to stay away from the FIMO longer now! ;-)
Kat, Tessie's sister that runs the Witch's Warehouse is called Esmirelda. There will be no confusion tho. Esmirelda is an eldery witch and always corrects people if they call her anything but her full name. Your Ezzie sounds a lot more like Tessie. LOL We arein triple trouble! Now there will be the two Es and Tessie taking over the world. There is also the third sister, Catonia, but she is the eldest and causes no trouble. She sits and spins all day.
Those binder clips on the door frame is a good idea I'll put to use!
By the way, Zar, here's a Steampunkish lamp that you might like:

Tessie is after something, watch your back,Zar is so sweet, maybe Tessie should marry him before he is lost to another!
We all love summer weddings, I have a hat
Thanks for your great comments on Fliss's site, it is fun having a daughter who share my hobbies and can also crochet.
Hi Casey
thank you so much for mentioning me on your lovely blog, it was so kind of you, and also thank you for popping over to mine and leaving a comment. I really love your blog, Tessie is fantanstic, my 1940s lady just stands in the kitchen day dreaming all day long, prehaps its the rations she needs more food for energy, he he!!
thanks again, felicity xx
I just love that little Witch. So glad her and Zar seem to be getting along. I agree with Nikki you ought to let Tessie do a post one day. I'm sure we'd all be on the floor laughing..
Felicity, I suggest that the people in your 1940s house put a couple of bee hives in the back yard. My dad was a farmer and raised bees during WWII so that they wouldn't have a problem with sugar rations. Then your lady could be on a sugar high every day.
Now about Tessie doing an entry. So soon you forget. At one point she tried. Remember the pogo stick incident? So far she hasn't figured out how to do it. I know how she could, but I am not telling her!If she can't figure it out, it's not going to happen....
Lol. Oh please, you must!
I'd be on the floor like Debbie says.
Lol!
Nikki x
Tessie's antics keep us all entertained. She does appear to be a good worker when she wants something. I'm starting a new cottage soon if she wants to help, lol.
What an imagination! I think post means mail in this sense but what do I know! Have fun dealing with Tessie tomorrow!
Even if Tessie does have an ulterior motive, isn't it nice to have her helping you for a change? What a welcome change from the usual mischief.
