She kept insisting and what's more Zar was backing her up! That is strange in itself. They agree about something? I knew something was up. They were obviously trying to get rid of me. I went away, but I sneaked back when I thought that they weren't looking. I am so glad that I don't have to use the flash with this camera. Here's the first thing that I saw.
Tessie was standing on one of the canvas chairs that I made for her. The biggest problem that I could see was that the chair was half on and half off of the counter. She was wielding her favorite paintbrush and had lots of colors on a paper plate in front of her.....I could see disaster rearing it's ugly head. She couldn't quite reach the spot that she wanted to paint.
I bit my tongue to keep from scolding and went away to work on the steps. You know I couldn't leave well enough alone. I went back and thank goodness Zar had interfered in her antics and fetched a large paint bottle for her to perch upon.
This arrangement didn't look a whole lot better than the first one. She was perched on a large bottle of black paint. At least this time she could reach her objective and Balthazar was standing by, holding the paint plate.
I discovered that she is a pretty good decorative painter when she wants to be. She was painting roses in various places on the roof. Of course they were puce(the color of fleas). This time her version of puce looks more purple. Perhaps that is a fortunate mistake on her part.
Anyway, she has the first side done. Only three to go.
I am going back to finish the steps now. I only hope that she doesn't lose interest in the painting before all four sides are finished. That would mean that I would have to try to do what's left by copying her work. I am not sure that I could duplicate that particular shade of puce.
See you tomorrow.

Tessie, You amaze me everyday... Love your puce roses.. And way to go Zar... You are doing a great service being there to help out.
Can't wait to see the stairs that Casey builds.. As far as my tea, I like it iced, sweet and with a slice of lemon.. How soon is the party?

Hi Casey. I thought you would like to look at this ladies basket work. http://www.zarathomsonribeaud.com
I've always admired it when at shows and the weaving is perfectly scaled.
I'd love to one day own some of her work.
Up close in the real it's amazing and thought it would be of interest to you.

Well done Tessie your Roses look wonderful. Have you thought about using a levitating spell, I was worried when I saw you perched on the top of that bottle..
Nikki the baskets are beautiful.
Debbie, she says that it is hard to levitate and wne wield a paintbrush at the same time. It's one or the other. Have you ever tried to fly and paint roses at the same time? LOL
Very good Tessie. You have a remarkable talent. But are roses apt to a witch's gazebo?
Rosanna, the roses are to annoy me. I am not crazy about either roses or PUCE. I still can't believe that her favorite color translates from the French word for flea!!! LOL
Wow, Casey! Do you think Tessie could witch herself here for a day to help me decorate some furniture? I'd even let her make the flowers puce just to have lovely designs. She's really quite good.
I am suspicious about Zar and her working together all of a sudden. What do you suppose they are up to?
Tessie, I love your artistry. Those roses are wonderful, and I like the color too. You seem to be getting a lot of help from Zar lately hmmmmmm. But couldn't he have found a safer perch for you?
A while ago I did an entry about mini tole painting. If you want to try it, go here. http://caseymini.blogspot.com/2008/10/mini-tole-101.html With a bit of practice, you can turn out some pretty passable roses and other flowers. Let me know if you try it. I would love to see.
I love to watch Tessie work. I want to be her for she can charm anybody into submission, even Zar. Can she make him kiss her beautiful feet too? Casey, you think she will want some butterflies with her roses? Let her know there's a Butterfly Award for her at my blog?
Tessie...wow you are so amazing!
Love your roses....Casey it is far to dangerous for Tessie to balance on a chair, please give her stairs the next time,I'm afraid she will fall?
Tessie is getting brave, huh!! Love the flowers she painted, they're very lady like!!!
I like your style a lot! So nice and funny photos! The roof and roses looks great!
