With a Little Bit of Help From Tessie.....

She finally couldn't stand it anymore. She went to the Witch's Warehouse and got a broom. She came back and started stirring up dust everywhere that there was a flat surface. I am coughing and sneezing, but I have to admit that she got into some corners that I couldn't reach.

The only problem is that she has an even shorter attention span than I do. The way it went was sweep, sweep, sweep"Oh look! A Kitty!"

She found a pussy willow seed. Granted, it does look a little like a kitten, but when I saw that one I immediately thought "Hmm, hedgehog." She found it a fancy pillow that I did that has white work along the edge of the case and that was the end of sweeping. She has been sitting there cooing at the little creature since she found it. So much for the help.

I did manage to get most of the room done without her help. I even took photos for proof. Here's one taken from the doorway. I turned on the TV to HGTV for inspiration. It worked.

I can actually walk all the way around the room now. I got my worktable cleaned off. I can see the top of the desk! This is the left wall. I still have a lot of organizing to do, but it is a lot neater than it was two days ago.
The last photo is of the closet. My daughter told Tessie and Spike to make sure I didn't shove everything in the closet and close the doors. Thanks April! I didn't!!!

I do have a confession to make though. Just below the black purse hanging on the door is my infamous laundry basket. It is never used for laundry. It is always used for the last remnants of tiny parts, pieces of material, paper and sewing stuff.........Yes. I will put it away today.

At least now I can walk around the room to put things in their proper place.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I have great plans to keep going until there is a place for everything and everything is in it's place. Then I can start messing it up again for next time.......
See you tomorrow.

Your workroom looks awesome! So nice and neat! I would love to fly from NY to AZ to help you mess it back up! Wouldn't it be great fun just to travel around for a bit and investigate everyone elses stashes? I have a friend that has a wonderful collection of beads that we always say she'd have to check everyone's pockets before they were allowed out the door! HA! You did a great job even tho you couldn't depend on Tessie's help much....Did she inherit your 6 year olds attention span?
Great job Casey! Doesn't it make you feel more creative to have a clean workspace? It does me!

Carolyn, I am afraid that I am with Rosanna and Debbie. I work much better in a messy room. The way it is now I am afraid to do anything for fear of messing it up!

Good job! Although I must say it does make you afraid to work when it just gets messy again!

What a great workroom! Would have loved to have such a room myself!
Great job and maybe just as well Tessie found that hedgehog to keep her occupied, at least she wasn't up to any mischief then!

Workrooms are meant to be cluttered. It shows a mind is active. When they are clean I assume either it's usual occupant is out of town or has just been forced to clean it for some reason.

It doesn't take long to get them messy again. ;-)
