I forgot about Tessie after our last photo session. I left her sitting in the director's chair, where she had a 360° view of the bedroom......Oopsie! Big mistake!!
First of all, I have had my suspicions that April has been giving Tessie tips on how to get what she wants. Now I know that they have been communicating. Tessie knows about the "Mom Store"! When I went into the bedroom I discovered that she had found the room box with some of the beaded purses and necklaces that I had made. The phrases that I kept hearing were "Ohhh Sparkly!" and of course "I want this!". Oh and the all time favorite....."MINE!!!!"
The necklaces are pretty easy to make. I make them with probably about #15 to #18 beads. I just use a piece of the fine brass beading wire that comes on a spool. I cut off a piece about 8" long. I need something to hang onto while I am doing it. I fold the wire in half and with a pair of needle nosed pliers I bend a hook in the folded end and twist one wire around the other a couple of times. I start threading beads on both strands of wire. This goes on until one is long enough to fit around "Tessie's" neck and the other one is a bit longer so that they will lay right.I twist the two wires together at that end as tightly as possible and then twist that end into a loop and cut off the excess wire. Remind me to show you how to make the matching pierced earrings sometime.
Anyway, Tessie was soooooo excited that she blurted out "Why didn't someone tell me about the Mom Store sooner?". That's when I knew where she got the shopping bug. I think that this is the second time she has let that slip.
I have the feeling that she has been on the dragon again, gliding from room to room, scouting out places to shop. I may have to start checking her cottage for "lost things".
As I was standing there watching, she is loading up on merchandise!
She took the zebra skin purse that April made a few years ago. I wonder how April is going to like it when she discovers that she is on the Mom Store shopper's list.
Tessie also got the basket of bath items and I am not sure what is in the Petite Bijoux sack..... She is trying to stuff her big bare feet into the petite pink slippers. Good luck with that, Tessie!
I am going to go somewhere else now. I can't watch this anymore. I have created a monster shopper!
By the way, if you are interested in making the purses, here is a great site for learning to do different kinds of peyote stitch.
The second one takes you directly to a different site for the tubular peyote, which is what I used to make the purses on the bottom of the doors.
Have fun. See you tomorrow!

LOL! I'm glad Tessie found a way to amuse herself. What other sorts of things does she like?
Even Witches love to shop.. Its a girl thing..
Pay attention she doesn't become a shopaddict: I suppose that not many things could ever stop her.
Well Miss Tessie certainly is the little shopper isn't she...she knows a good thing when she sees it... has a real flare for style I see....
Looks like there is no stopping her now...shop shop shop !!
