A Good Time Was Had By All!

When I woke up this morning, Tessie was ready to go!

Today is the first day of the local miniature show and sale.  This year it is back at the Woman's club.  It was done there for years.  Last year they tried it at the Mini Time Machine Museum. It was over crowded and being short, I kept getting stepped on all the time that I was there... Tall people don't tend to look down and behind themselves.

Anyway, it was much nicer today and Tessie was ready to go at five thirty... The show doesn't open until ten.
Anyway, when we got there, there was a line by the door.

As soon as we got inside, we made a B line for the one table that I always buy from.

I loaded up on trims from Debbie Laue.  She always had a wonderful selection of small print fabrics and trims. She also carries all kinds of kits and other goodies!

I loaded up.
If by chance you see her at a show, be sure to look.  I know you will find something that you really, really want!

This is her card.  She also has an online shop.  The address is at the bottom of the card.
When we got home, Tessie grabbed the bags and ran for the bed.  She spread out all of the treasures and started sorting through.  We spent around fifty dollars, but it was worth every penny.  We can't buy the tiny trims here in Tucson, so I loaded up.  These will last me at least part of the year. Then I may have to go on line to restock.
Anyway, Tessie is happy.  And if Tessie is happy, everybody's happy.

Maybe I should make her a new hat.

See you tomorrow.

First Stop. Hairy Potter...

No Not the one from the kid's book.  This is the real one.  He came first!

I first saw him and bought pottery from him in Phoenix years ago.  Way before the other Harry Potter came on the scene.

Of course, Tessie pounced on the table and started doing her thing... "I'll have one of these and one of these and two of these."

We ended up with eight pieces... Five are from the display in front of her.  She went staggering around the table with both arms full.

While she did that, I chatted with Craig... His real name is Craig Roberts and if you ever see him at a mini show be sure to stop and see all of the wonderful things that he makes.

He is bringing along his ten year old son into mini pottery.  The pots above are pinch pots that his son helps him mold.  Then Craig does the glaze work.  Tessie got five of those.

He does the larger pots like the one in this photo.  The jug actually holds liquid.  There is a false bottom in the top brown section!  The scene inside is half scale and has everything that the well equipped potter would need.

This is a shot of the interior. Yes, it is also electrified!

Great work!

Anyway, this is the assortment that I found Tessie staggering around the table with.  I couldn't resist.  I bought them all.  I already have plans for the one by her right foot.  It is the perfect size and has a silver drain cap in the middle for a top mounted sink.  Now all I have to do is build a dressing table to mount it on.

For some reason, her favorite is the one that she is holding... Magic anyone? I don't think that I want to know what kind of potion she is going to put in it...

Tomorrow, I will show you more of what I bought.  Or maybe I should say more of what Tessie forced me to buy.  She is such a bad influence!

I am going back to look at the rest of the goodies now...

Just Remember... Hairy Potter.. With an I and one R. Or Craig Roberts

See you tomorrow.

The Weekend Is Coming!!!

That means that there is a mini show to go to.

I worked on the Bunny Hutch some more this afternoon.  Kota helped... He kept trying to eat the thread...

I kept having to rescue the thread.  He thought that it was something that I wanted him to have to play with... Not really.

Another day or two should do it.
Walter is going to be golfing this weekend, so I am going to amuse myself, looking at and maybe buying minis. The show is at the Mini Time Machine Museum this year.

I made the mistake of saying something about it out loud.

Tessie immediately went into planning mode.

It seems that the bunnies will be staying with Spike in his "hutch".

I have no idea where the hedgehog will be holed up...

She got them settled in with Spike.  Then she disappeared.
I found her hiding in her closet... She seems to have the idea that she gets to go along...

I took her to one show a few years ago and she now wants to go  whenever there are minis to see.

I am in real trouble because I didn't take her to the museum with me earlier this week.

She has her shopping bag and purse ready to go... Now she is trying to find comfortable shoes... Shoes?

I know that she will end up going barefoot and ride in my purse or a pocket.  She wants to be where she can see everything and point out the things that she wants and reallllly needs.

I am going with Judy and Susan, the sister witches. Maybe I can tell her that there isn't enough room in the car?  I have to think of something fast!

See you tomorrow.
