Leaning Tower Of Tessie.....

I am working on the tower.  The inside is finished. The outside has a way to go.

As for the Terrible Two? They sat on the roof and watched K Dramas all morning.

I was looking at them out of the corner of my eye, but I didn't have time to put my feet up and watch like they did.

 When I started taking photos, they both jumped right in and posed.  They both made like they had been working right along beside me all morning.

It was more like they were sitting there watching K Dramas whilst I worked...

Zar posed in the front hall. 

Then Tessie took a turn and suggested that I put in some front steps... So that she wouldn't have to use her pogo stick to get in the front door.

Sometimes she is an ungrateful wretch....

Anyway, she then posed coming out of the upstairs door. 

No steps needed there.... I know.  Because she said so!

Anyway, she is still talking wall to wall shag rug in the living room.

How am I going to get out of that one.  I did suggest that she do it herself... She whined and whinged that she didn't know how...

Strange... The last time I worked on one for her, she was right in there trying to see how to do it... She even did some stitches here and there...

I guess she forgot that part...

I still have a lot to do on the outside of the tower.  Back to work.  See you tomorrow.  Probably with not a lot done.  The witches are coming here tomorrow. See you after they leave.

Another Confused Critter and Work...

This momma squirrel thinks she's a sparrow... Actually, she's just finding food for her babies. They must be a later batch. 

The babies that I have been seeing out there are about half grown now.  They are foraging for them selves.

Anyway. More Squirrels. More food!

 I came back in the house and started to work, once again, on the trailer/castle.  Tessie was NOT helping.  She wants it done now and I am the one that is supposed to get it done... NOW!

I got the inside of the bathroom covered with stucco.

Part of the roof edge covered with stone. 

And the inside of the stair tower covered with stucco too.

Tessie has been yammering at me continuously while I do it.  I am not fast enough.

I figured that I may as well write this now.  No matter how fast I work, it won't be done today...
Or tomorrow.  Or the day after that.  If I do it right, it is going to take forever... Then I wont have to do anymore projects for her.  I can just keep doing this one... All I have to do is keep thinking of other rooms to add to it.

If At First You Don't Succeed......

Never try to put in stairs and then go to a movie... It doesn't work.

While you are watching the movie, the stairs warp and bend a lot...

I will not do that again! Never. Ever.

When I got home, Tessie was a very unhappy camper! She wouldn't even speak to me... Or look at me.

I am a bad builder!!!

Actually, it was a good thing. I really need to put a finish on the inside of the tower before adding the stairs anyway.

Tomorrow, first thing, I will be going to Walmart to get some spackle to put on the walls before I put in the steps.

I apologized to Tessie and promised to do it right tomorrow. No more messing around and trying to do two things at once.

Anyway, maybe by tomorrow, she will be talking to me again. 

She is back to pushing for an elevator now.

I am to the point of doing anything she asks for.

Never Go Back...

I have been reading old blog entries... Not a good thing.

I got as far as the Rya Rugs that I was doing last year.  Remembered that I didn't finish what I started as usual.

The only one that is really finished is the one that Tessie's snake sleeps on. he loves it.  So does she. 

 Oops! Not a good thing.

Now Tessie wants fuzzy rugs for the living room and bedroom of the trailer/castle. 

What is even more unfortunate, Zar is backing her up. He thinks that they would look nice in there.

I am seeing a lot more work than this castle is worth. I still haven't finished the ones that I was experimenting with.

Now Tessie wants more!!! So what else is new?


I searched and found the blades for Mr. Dremel. As soon as Walter wakes up from his nap, I am going to have him help me install a new blade.  I managed to get the old one out, but...
I can't press down hard enough to get the new blade in!

It takes force to get the part down to where the top of the blade will fit into the hole.  He is stronger than I am.

Did you ever have one of those days? I seem to be having one today.  Wish me luck. I may at least get the steps for the circular staircase cut out.

Home Alone.....

Note to self... Never leave Tessie alone with her favorite decorating book!

We Went to a movie this morning. I should have hid this book! It is Tessie's favorite for décor ideas...It is from the seventies and full of all kinds of weird ideas.

This is the book that I got the idea for Zar's  split level den from.  I should have thrown it out after I finished that one!!!

She found the photo of her favorite bed.  When I got home, she announced that it would only take a couple of my necklaces to recreate it...

I have to admit that it would be easier to make than the ones that she wants me to carve for her. Or even the wicker bed that she keeps trying for.

Maybe a hanging bed can't be all bad...

But then she announced that she wants a fur coverlet for it... Not so good. I don't have any fur that I am willing to sacrifice.

She suggested squirrel hunting... I pounded her on the head and told her to get that idea GONE!!!

No squirrel hunting allowed in our back yard!!!

She agreed.  No squirrel should be harmed for a bed...

Then se immediately started rummaging through my closet, in search of fur anything... No luck!

On this page she liked the orange.  I said no!

Then she mentioned the tower in the corner.  I guess that wouldn't be too bad...

She also liked the bell shaped thing by the bed.  I am not even sure what that is, but I am not going to be hammering brass for her.

Next, she wanted all of this furniture in the body of the trailer... No... The trailer is NOT that big.

She is going to have to make some choices.  I can wait until she does.

This is going to be one of those projects that she is going to have to eliminate about half of the ideas that she gets.  I am not making twenty chairs for a trailer!!!I am now going to go put some more stones on the outside. 

That's bad enough.  Who ever heard of putting stones on the outside of a trailer and turning it into a castle... With a hanging bed??? I am going to go ignore Tessie's suggestions for the rest of the day... See you tomorrow.

Growing....

Tessie tried to hide the small patch that I didn't finish on this side of the trailer today. I wouldn't let her. 

I ran out of glue and rather than pour out new glue and let it rot, I chose to do the small patch later.

She was not happy that I didn't finish the whole side.  Oh well. I will get it done tomorrow and probably most of the rest of the bottom story of the trailer.

This one is going up! this is the floor for the second story. It will wrap around the entrance  tower. This is the underside of the floor. 

I will flip it over and it will go around the right side of the tower.  This could take a while. 

As I said before. It is more fun to experiment than to build the trailer as it comes out of the kit.

I got all of the theater trays cut up.  Now I am ready to work on the walls I have enough for this trailer and maybe a few more buildings besides.

Tessie is standing in one of four sacks of pieces that I have under the table now.

I told you that moving the table was a good thing.  Now I can hide all kinds of things under there and nobody will know... Just me and Tessie.

I am taking the rest of the afternoon off.  Walter and I are watching a couple of series on TV in the afternoons. Back to the TV. See you tomorrow.

Tessie Wins Again

Yes. You are seeing right. There is a new owner for the Castle Trailer... It is now Tessie's Trailer.

She has been working her little head off all day long!

It seems that she talked to Letty last night.... Most of the night.

She finally convinced Letty that the castle trailer was just not right for her...

Since early this morning, Tessie has been working rigorously!

She is measuring and cutting right along with me.  She is really excited about the ownership!

I am not sure what she told Letty, but it really stopped her in her tracks...

In case you can't decipher the note to the left, it says... "Tessie can have the trailer. I don't want a musty old castle"... And it is signed "Letty"

I don't think that I want to know what Tessie told her, but I am sure it was full of spiders and snakes and other scary things.

I think that it is best that we don't talk about what was said. Letty would probably be ready to leave town, instead of waiting for me to build her the next house. She went back to the embroiderer's cottage this morning.

Anyway, Tessie has already moved her favorite snake into his new home...

She is going to have to wait a little longer to get the trailer...

She is helping with everything now that she knows that it is going to be hers.
