One Step Ahead...

That was Tessie today.  I decided to clean some of the room boxes in the bedroom.  I would get to a box to clean it and there was Tessie.

I was oiling some of the furniture and floors and just straightening in general...

In the first room, I expected Tessie.  She claimed this room long ago. It has one of my favorite beds in it... And one of Tessie's too.

She approached me with a new theory.  She says that anywhere she hangs her witches hat is home.
Well I guess that is one way to look at it.

With hat in hand, she  traipsed along with me.

The first one was OK.  It's her room anyway.

The second one was not bad either.  She goes in here when she wants to make cookies or a pie the "old fashioned way".

So I let her get away with that one...

I also let her get away with the third one.  She sneaks in here to sleep quite a bit.

It's closer to the big TV and she can see and hear better from this one.  Her cottage is further away.

So, she gets away with it...
The last one, I had to put my foot down.

She sidled into the Elizabethan lady's room and asked if she could hang her hat somewhere... I told her NO!

I knew what she was up to.  If she got a place to hang the hat, theoretically the room would be hers.

Not happening!!!!

I kicked her out and she went back to the third room to watch the big TV.

As I got ready to leave the room... I heard her mumble under her breath..."I didn't want that one anyway. It's too far from the big TV.  Not a great location anyway.

I am now going back to watching the big TV.  It will be my choice what we watch... My TV.  My choice! If she doesn't like what I am watching, she can go in the living room and watch golf with Walter!  Back to the bedroom for more cleaning. See you tomorrow.

NO More Shawl...

This is the last photo that you will see until Christmas. Not quite finished, but it will be soon.
I started cleaning eye level room boxes today.  I started with the Colonial Kitchen...

It looks much better than it did before I cleaned all of the dust off... Not perfect, but better...
This was the last room that I cleaned today.  As soon as I left the room...Tessie grabbed my afghan and went down for the duration... She will probably nap until morning...

Oh well! At least she is out of my hair until tomorrow. If you wish to see close ups, don't forget to poke the pictures.

Back to dusting.

See you tomorrow.

A Whip and a Chair...

That's what I threatened Tessie with this morning.

I have been cleaning like crazy and she has been going in the opposite direction.

I caught her sleeping in the colonial bedroom again this morning. She said that she couldn't get to her bedroom in the cottage.
Then she proceeded to spend a couple of hours in the kitchen, reading. At least that room was cleaner.

That could be because I helped her to do that one earlier in the morning...

A couple of the Wednesday Witches showed up to play for a while this morning.  We had a good time. We tried out the new porch furniture.  They approved.

Then we worked on some minis.  Each of us had different projects going.

I made Cuban Tamales for lunch and we made short work of those.

I checked on Tessie a couple of times and she seemed to be making progress... At least the bedroom was looking better than it did earlier in the day...

Then I made the mistake of turning my back on her...

This is what I saw!  Guess what Tessie is going to be doing tomorrow?  No wonder she said that she couldn't get to her bed!

The whole worktable is covered in rubbish!  She hasn't cleaned her own place in a month!  No wonder she likes sleeping in the colonial bedroom...

I think that she bribed Zar to help clean up there.  I also think that Zar is about to throw his hands in the air and go home to his nice quiet little Tudor Trailer... It may be small, but it's neat.  He does take care of his place.

I don't think that I told you.  I found that I had 40.00 worth of gift certificates left at HBS.  I ordered another trailer kit with part of it and another room box with the rest.  As soon as Tessie found out, she announced that since Zar got the last one, this one was hers.  She wants it made into a Gypsy Caravan.  That's all I need.  Tessie as a Gypsy Fortune Teller, traveling around telling fortunes.  She already has Madam Tessie's Fortune Telling Tent... Here we go again!

See you tomorrow.

Everything and the Kitchen Sink...

Tessie spent the day making messes everywhere.

She started in the colonial kitchen... More pie making. She does like her pie...

She did tell me that the room needed cleaning... I ignored her.
Then she moved on to the colonial bedroom.

I noticed that it could use a good cleaning too... She tried to tell me that the colorful hat and the Chinese lantern belonged there...

I don't think so... And the floor is in dire need of cleaning...
What was I doing whilst she was messing around in there?

I was actually cleaning my own kitchen... It took me a lot of the day to do, but it is looking better than it has in a couple of years.

It is amazing what good health can do for you... I am trying to get the house to look the way it used to.

I am getting there, slowly but surely.

Tomorrow I have a few witches coming over to play while Walter is golfing.  It is nice to be able to walk into the kitchen without tripping over clods of dirt.  Back to work.

See you tomorrow.
