I Refuse to Sit and Do Nothing...

I think that the worst is over... but I still don't feel great.  So... I am doing things that I can sit and do while watching Korean Dramas.  Yes.  I am addicted to them.  No.  I don't speak Korean.  But I can read subtitles...

And I can do cross stitch at the same time.

I am almost done with the rug for the Craft Cottage.
I did some more of the center of the rug that will probably go in the living room of Tessie's Townhouse.

If I ever think of doing another rug with that much of one color in the middle, somebody STOP ME!!!

I am soooo sick of doing the same color over and over.  Row after row...
So, I decided to bead for a while.  I got part of another bracelet done...
Will someone please tell Widget and Tessie that bat wing stew is not a cure for the common cold... Or even for the uncommon cold.

They have both turned into nursemaids and are trying to force feed me the vile concoction!

Tessie went so far as to drag out her hotplate and turn a bunch of bats into mice to get the wings for it... No bats were harmed in its making.  They are a bit confused.  The keep trying to fly and fall off of the edge of the bed.

Just what I need, on top of a cold.  Now I have an infestation of tiny mice running around the bedroom.

"Tessie!  Come here and round up your mice!  I do not want to have to watch where I am walking!"

I am going back to do more cross stitch... But first I am going to lock Tessie and Widget out of the bedroom... And also the tiny mice...

See what a cold can do to a perfectly sane person?

See you tomorrow.  Without tiny mice!

What a beautiful cat! I notice that creative people often have cats. Probably because cats themselves are creative and very selective in what they approve of!!! Hope you get well soon.

Hi Casey! Lots of great progress on the rug and it is looking good! Sorry to hear that you are under the weather, but congratulations to Tessie for winning the giveaway from Karin Corbin. I have been having major/minor problems with my laptop and it choses when it wants to work. Right now I have my window of opportunity to communicate

p.s. I used to enjoy watching old bollywood soaps, and that was without any subtitles. go figure?

It's a lovely rug, Casey! I have not done petit point in decades!

Elizabeth, I keep trying to get my friends interested in
K Dramas. If you liked the Bollywood stuff without subtitles, just think how much fun you would have with the Korean ones with subtitles.

I have watched most of the ones on Hulu and Netflix. Some of them more than once. Just plain good entertainment and I am picking up some Korean Language, customs and history as I go.

Lucille, it's just cross stitch. No petit point here.

I feel your pain with the solid colour stitches going on for ever! Whenever I reached a big area of one colour in my tapestries, I'd stitch one round of that section, then change colours and do another part - it helped stave off the madness (at least for a little while hehehehehehe) ;)
