But I Digress....

Yesterday, I started working on Christmas presents.

I probably have the only crocheting cat in the world...

This is how I spent most of the day.  Widget, sitting on a pillow beside me, holds the work, whilst I put in the loops.

He sits like that for about twenty minutes at a time.  And believe it or not, he is helping.

With the Q needle, it is difficult to crochet and hold the work at the same time.

I managed to get four of these done yesterday.

He volunteered to model the finished product.

The yarn is Lion brand Amazing.  I did them from a pattern on their website.  It is called the "45 Minute Cowl".  It takes a little longer than that, so far.  I am getting closer with each one.
You may ask, what's in it for Widget?

He glares at me until he gets to scritch his chin on the hook and yes, he gets petted.

He also gets to wear the cowl and keep warm in the process...
I laid out the four scarves to take a photo... He insisted on modeling again...

OK.  There is one more benefit... I just started an early Christmas gift for him...

It's a good thing I bought a lot of Amazing yarn.  I started a cat blanket... It was self defense.

He threatened to keep the four scarves if I didn't.

At least with the Q needle, it won't take long.

Back to minis tomorrow.

See you then. I have to go unravel a cat.

Oh, what a cutie! He is a wonderful helper! Those cowls look very cozy too! I can't say I blame him for wanting to keep them.... you did make them for him, right???

Margaret, I thought the same thing when I saw Lucy! Widget says "hi!".

Widget is the cutest cat ever. *Swoons.*

This makes me wonder if Pete, the cat I sat for last week, would make a good helper. He insists on sleeping in my lap for at least 2 hours at a time... so I may as well put him to work. ;)

Lol, I have yarn and this got me to look up a cowl pattern. I guess at least two people on my list are getting cowls.
