I have decided to wait a bit to do the electrical and hook ups. If I do it now, by the time I am done, the time machine will be somewhere else in the universe...
I started the landing platform this morning.
I centered the tower in the middle and did a pencil mark around it. Then drew lines from that to all four corners.
I put screen door molding around all four sides to strengthen it.
Then I went and found a bamboo place mat that had a label on it from Michael's. I don't remember buying it there, but I am glad that I did.
I wanted the platform to look like fancy decking... It worked quite well. One side of the bamboo is slightly rounded and the other side is flat. I used it rounded side up.
I only used a couple of rows of the round white rods in the place mats towards the center to add interest. The ones right next to the building are just temporarily in place. I am not sure if I am going to use them or not.
Anyway. after getting three sides done, I decided to take a break and type for a while.
I went back out to get a cup of coffee and I noticed that the lights were on and somebody was making themselves at home...
I was right not to hook anything up. Tessie zapped the two kitchen stools from Daisy's house... Zar was doing a nice seating arrangement... Then he looked around and announced... "Not today. There still isn't a way to turn this thing on. Casey hid the apparatus that runs this machine...."
Tessie heaved a heavy sigh, shrugged her shoulders and replied.... "So I'll zap the stools back to the kitchen... Care for a cup of coffee or a bug beer?"
Unfortunately, Tessie is very good at biding her time... I am going to have to be very careful. I should start making calls to Daisy and see when she can get here. Then I have to time it so that I can send it off to her while the Terrible Two aren't looking... Wish me luck! I'm going to need it.
See you tomorrow.
I love it, I would travel through time with it! The bamboo rods make a very nice decking! Good luck staying clear of Tessie!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to go when you are, Casey! What period would you prefer to time travel in? I'm curious!
ReplyDeleteLucille, that's a hard question to answer. Maybe either Tudor or Victorian England, to look up a few relatives...
ReplyDeleteHello Casey,
ReplyDeleteIt is looking great! It is such a fun and original project. If you should go back to Victorian time the earl and countess said you are more then welcome to stay at the Manor.
Big hug,
Giac
