Much too girly and delicate for my taste...And for that matter, for everyone else's.
It needs other colors on it. I am going to repaint it a bit darker and start over with the decorations. I also see some spots that need more sanding.
Can you tell I don't like it. Not at all!
When I put it in the kitchen, the whole thing turns pastel. Not at all what I wanted.
back to the drawing board. Darkness falls.
Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon, I started playing with one of the slanted desk kits.
I cut out part of each side and am carving trees now.
So far, at least I am having fun with this one. I have no idea where it is going or where it will land. I doubt if it will be to Daisy's liking.
So, It will stay in the stash until I decide.
I am going back and starting over with the drawers and shelf now. It's really icky.
See you tomorrow.
It's not icky it's FABULOUS! Maybe not meant to go in this house but it's a keeper for sure!
ReplyDeleteCasey, I agree with Cara. It's gorgeous! But then I know that you prefer darker colours! It's kind of sad to undo all that wonderful work you did on it!
ReplyDeleteI love your carving of a tree and look forward to seeing what you do with that kit.
ReplyDeleteMay be pinker than you wished but I love it!

ReplyDeletetch! its so good!!!
Puts my mini-ing to shame!
Hello Casey,
ReplyDeleteI like it, but I see what you mean about it turning pastel. It's a shame to paint over your beautiful work, but if we must, we must!
Big hug,
