Faster Than A Speeding Bullet!

OK. I have a great excuse for being late today.  I had a visit from my grandson that is, according to the title, "Faster than a speeding bullet."

He's really not, but have you ever tried to take a photo of an eight month old standing still?  No way can it be done.  I took 44 photos and about 6 were usable.

Anyway, that's my story and I am sticking with it.
I cleaned my closet this morning before they got here.  I found Tessie in the back, rummaging through purses.  She put a claim on this one.

I bought it at a garage sale some time ago.  She announced that it would be a great place to store her purses....

I gladly gave it to her.  The silly thing is too small to even hold a regular sized checkbook type wallet.
I opened it up and she climbed inside with Spike.  Her head just about touches the roof, but that's OK.  I don't think that she is going to do much in there other than make a purse and accessories closet from it.

It didn't open all the way because of the side gussets.

That problem wasn't much of a problem.  Sharp scissors took care of that in one fell swoop....What is a fell swoop anyway?

I will have to cut the other seam of the gussets out.  Then the fun begins.
Yes, I will get back to the crooked cottage and the weaver's workshop, but who can pass up a forgotten piece in the back of the closet?  I know that Tessie can't and neither can I!

I promise to finish it fast.  Then back to the serious stuff.

I think that shelves in the back and maybe something for shoes in the lid.

Little feeties on the bottom when it is open, so it will lay flat.

I have to think about the interior.

Go away and ignore me for a while....Tessie and I have some planning to do!

See you tomorrow.

"If You're Going to Clean Everything...."

"Clean EVERYTHING!"  That was Tessie shouting at me, at the top of her lungs this morning.

I couldn't really blame her.  Some of you probably remember the mishap with "Buttercup Book Shop" when I finished it and put it up on top of the bookcase....That was in 2008!(See Butercup Bookshop in the label section if you want the whole story.)

I got about two steps up the ladder and dumped the whole thing on the floor....Yes, it was an accident.  I didn't mean to.

I just didn't have the heart to start over right then.  There was some broken furniture and a lot of books to put back, not to mention several windows with unhinged trim.

I kept dusting around it...Finally, four years later, I thought it was time to do what had to be done.  And today I got up the nerve to take it down and do it.
Three of the tables had legs off.

The little shaker shelf on the top floor had some pieces broken off.

The food counter on the bottom floor was almost demolished. At least the pieces weren't broken, just coming apart.

I had all of the book shelves glued in place, but just lightly.  They now will never come out.

As usual, I did all the work.  Tessie and Zar sat and drank coffee, ate cake and of course read books.

It was a regular meeting of the Monday Morning Book Club...Very exclusive.  Two members.

I worked from the top down.  When I finished the last floor, Tessie immediately went into selling mode.

Since Zar was the only customer, she sold him a book on, what else?  Dollhouse Building.

Anyway, I am about to attempt the second raising of the book shop.  I do hope it turns out better than the last one.

As soon as I get it back up there, there is a three section bookcase that is seven foot tall to clean out.  Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

See you tomorrow.

With Good Intentions...

First of all, this is what happens in our back yard during the Monsoon Season.  Desert plants spring up all over the yard.

Some of the ones that I like the most get to live where they grow.  This little guy is smack dab in the middle of the yard and that's where he's going to stay.

The monsoons have hit the last couple of days and are about to come in again this afternoon.  It starts getting dark about 3:00PM every day.

As I said before, it's not a good time to take photos of minis.  It's also not a great time for beads either.

I started out intending to do some dishes and food for the crooked cottage and the weaver's workshop....Good intentions often get bent out of shape when the poly clay leaves it's cage.
I had a LOT of scraps from other projects just laying in the box of canes...How could I leave them there to contaminate the pretty canes?

The answer is, I couldn't.

For those of you not familiar with "Natashia Beads", they are my favorite way of using up scraps.  She is a lady from Russia that invented the process, thus the name.  They are also referred to as mirror beads.  I kind of think of them as little Rorschach tests...  You can pick out all kinds of things in the images.  There are four sides to the beads and each side is a different test.  I see a butterfly in the first one...You find things in the rest.

These are three that I came up with.  Mind you that these are nowhere near finished..

The first step is to moosh(technical term) up a lot of little scraps of different colors together and  chop them up still further.  I usually gather them up and roll them together.  Then if they aren't fine enough when I slice the piece in two, I chop that piece up more and gather it together.  I keep repeating the process until it looks pretty fine.

When they are fine enough, you shape them into an oblong block.  Then you proceed to cut it lengthwise in the center.  Lay those out, cut side up and do the same thing to those two pieces.  Then you basically turn the block inside out.  If you did it right, when you stick it back together, each side will have a mirror image on it.

I still have some smoothing to do on these and then I will have to put a hole through the center lengthwise.

When I am satisfied with the shape and smoothness, I will bake them.

When they are cool, they will be sanded and polished.  The last step will be to put Future Acrylic floor wax on them for a good finish.

This is the sum total of my work today,,,,Not a plate or a carrot in sight.

I will get back to the serious stuff tomorrow.  Right now I am having way too much fun finding things in the sides of the beads.

I see a bunny and a frog and......

Anyway,  back to playing and enjoying the rainy weather.

See you tomorrow.

Somewhere to Lay Her Weary Head.....

This is going to be short.  The stupid allignment button will not let the text go to the left, even though I have it set that way and yes, I did  do the "remove formatting" thing and tried to move the text to the left.  Frustrating!!!  Oops! Never mind.  It finally decided to play nice....For the time being.

OK.  This is as far as I am going today. Nellie now has a place to sleep.

I put in some lavender and blue flowers and blanket stitched the top edge of the coverlet over two threads.

By the way, If you decide to do something like that, remember to do it on the wrong side, if you are going to turn the top back.

It's very annoying when you get part of it done and realize that it's the wrong side.  No....I didn't do that this time, but I have done it a few times before.  That's how I know.

Here it is up close.  The color on both of these photos isn't great.  One is too white and the other too yellow.  It's another cloudy day.  I can never get them right when the light is like this.

Anyway.  I quit.  I am going to go play some other game for the rest of the day...Something fun.

See you tomorrow.

Just Getting Started....

First of all, I had to find the thread.  I moved it from it's usual spot and it was hiding.

Most of this, I can't use.  I only use the old mercerized cotton.  No synthetics.  So that cuts down the pallet a bit.

The small box is where some of my favorites are, but as you can see, I have more in the big one.

In case you were wondering why we were looking for sewing thread, I decided to work on Nellie's bed cover today.
The linen washed up nicely, so no excuse not to start.

Nellie helped me out with the design.  I put basic lines on the coverlet with my Pigma Micron .005 pen.

I can hear people murmuring, "She must be mad!".

I only drew the basic lines on with a pencil first.  When I liked the design, I made them permanent with the pen.  These pens are as close to permanent as you can get.  People use them to sign and put information on quilts, with the assurance that they are archival and won't wash out, face or bleed.

They are one of my favorite tools for mini.  It is the finest point in permanent inks that I know of and they last a long time.  I get them at art supply stores, quilt shops or sometimes at Michael's.  They come in several colors and all are valuable mini tools.

I am working under a lighted magnifying light.  Nothing fancy.  It's one that I picked up at Walmart years ago.  I like it because it has the glass on one goose neck and the light on another, so I can position it anywhere I want it.  I have other styles, but this is my weapon of choice when working at home.

It takes a regular 60 watt light bulb and I am used to the color.  For me, Ott lights are unnatural light.  That's just one of my idiosyncrasies...

As you can see, I have gotten quite a bit done this morning.  I still have a long way to go, but my eyes are getting crossed.  I am going over no more than two threads at a time when doing the stem stitches.  The leaves, done with lazy daisy stitch are also over two threads.  The yellow french knots are done with either single or double wrap of one strand of thread.  The red satin stitch flower is done with a single thread too.  Some of the stitches are gone over twice to make it thicker.

Anyway, that's it for today.  Back to cleaning cupboards.

See you tomorrow.

Linen, Canvas and Lace....

April and Seth gifted me with a certificate from Dharma Trading company for Mother's Day this year.  It has taken me this long to get around to redeeming it...The package came yesterday.

Yes.  That is Tessie, sitting in the middle of two yards of 54 inch wide linen. It is supposedly 36 threads to the inch even weave,I am not sure how the count really is.  I will have to try it and see.  It looks to have a few more threads running cross grain that lengthwise. Whatever the count it is really nice fabric.  Tessie has been walking around on it planning what I am going to make for her from it.
I thought that some of you might be interested in another item that I grabbed.

In case you aren't familiar with Dharma Trading Co.  They have been around longer than home computers by quite a few years.  They sell all natural products that are specifically made for people that like to dye, paint and otherwise decorate their own clothes and other fabric thingies.  They also sell dyes, fabric paints and other things to decorate the thingies with.

Anyway, this is their version of a Messenger bag. It's heavy canvas and ready to decorate.  I love all of the pockets.........The only trouble is, so does Tessie.  She announced that she can go anywhere I do with this bag....Unfortunately Nellie heard that and came running to join the party.

I bought it with the intention of tangling it.  That and the linen have to be washed before I do anything else.  That's when we find out what the real count is on the linen...

Can you tell that I'm playing for time today?  Monday, starting with the bathroom, on the far left of the house, I started cleaning.  I am doing cupboards, closets and everything else in between.

I figured that, if I started at one side and worked my way across.  I would finish with the workroom....The worst spot in the house.

So I promise to come up for air and let you know that I am still able to find the computer keyboard.  I will also try to get some mini-ing done too.

Yesterday at Wednesday Witches minis, I took along my tatting.  It's easy to carry and my friend Anne wants to learn.  Good intentions....I spent quite a bit of the time unraveling the kumihimo of one of the members that just started a couple of weeks ago...It seems that she fell asleep while doing it!  Didn't I tell you that it was a relaxing thing to do?  She must have kept going well into her nap! It took a big chunk out of tatting time.

Here are a few of the pieces of tatting that I am working on.  Tessie has her eye on the first black one.  It's way out of scale for her, but she says it looks like a sinister spider's web.The center of that one is a glass button.  The one by her feet has a Chinese coin in the center. The cream colored one has a three hole button that I made in ceramic when I was in college...Poor old button... The one on the far right is almost three inches long...Silver and would you believe that it is one of a pair of earrings that I bought at Walmart?  I can't imagine wearing two or them in my ears.  I would have trouble holding my head up and they would be clanging against my shoulders.  So, it is now a pendant.I may redo that one.  I should have put some beads on the tatting. Or maybe I will just leave it plain and put it on a kumihimo cord.

Oh!  Thanks to you that answered my question yesterday.  The tree is definitely a Texas Mountain Laurel.

I still wonder if the hospital, where it is growing, knows that it is poisonous???

See you tomorrow.

On a Need to Know Basis....

OK....I need your help.

My friend Joan, also a mini person, found this tree on the grounds of the University Hospital here in Tucson.

Being a miniaturist and a mini basket maker, she picked these seed pods up for us to experiment with.

Neither of us have any idea what they are.

I assume that they aren't poisonous or they wouldn't be planted by a hospital, unless said hospital needed more customers...

That's what I am trying to find out.  I am going to be sawing and drilling these little things and breathing in the air....Do you know what they are?  If so, please tell me.

If they are safe to use, they will be great.  The seeds that you see in the foreground are what's inside.  Each seed has a separate section in the pod.  If I saw them carefully, every vessel will have a closed bottom.

As you can see, they are saw able and drill able....I even did some carving on one with an exacto.

I would appreciate any information that you can provide me with.

Last, but not least, the termite inspector is coming today, so I thought that it would be best to get the last of the pile on the floor in the workroom taken up.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!  This is it!  Keep your fingers crossed.  When I get these things put away, I will have a perfect workroom...OK, not exactly perfect.  I will be able to walk across the floor to my desk without tripping.  Oh wait.  I can actually do that now.  The desk is to the right of the pile....Never mind....

See you tomorrow.

Real Life Project and First Wicker...

This morning I got tired of looking at the topless stool in my bedroom.  The poor thing just looked naked.

I rooted around the garage and found a piece of plywood, a jigsaw, and some screws.  Then I wandered through the fabric shelves and found some low loft batting and my all time favorite fabric.

It's hard to see in the photo, but it has a very old looking script of the alphabet written all over it.

When I put the plywood on top of the wrought iron base, Tessie had to put her mark of approval on the project...."Is it going to be bouncy?  Can I sleep on it?
What she really meant was can I jump up and down on it? but after yesterday, I wasn't taking any chances.  I told her yes, she could sleep on it....And no it wouldn't bounce, being on a piece of plywood.

She pouted the whole time I was working on it.  "It should bounce!"

Anyway, it took me a while, what with tracing and cutting the shape in the wood.  Then cutting four layers of batting(I couldn't find the high loft.) and the fabric.  It took me about ten minutes to remember how to load the electric staple gun...I haven't used it for a long, long time.

When I finally figured that out, the rest was easy.  The stapling itself was easy.  This handy dandy stool has little tabs in the wrought iron for the screws.  The problem was finding eight screws to do the job.  I know that I saved the screws when I took the old top off a while ago....I will probably find them next week sometime...

Yesterday, some of us in my online mini group were writing back and fourth about early mini projects...That is, some of our firsts.

I don't believe that I have ever shown you this....This was my very first attempt at wicker. It was in the eighties and I had to just experiment.  There was very little info on mini wicker at that time.

Would you believe that I took the time to unravel Penelope needlepoint canvas, to use as weavers?  That was the closest think that I could think of that looked like wicker.  I only had 26 gage covered floral wire.

The legs, front of arms and back were made from bamboo barbecue skewers.  I bent them by wetting them and manipulating them with pliers.  Hey!  You know that my motto is "Whatever works!".

I was never so happy to see a new product as I was when I found #18 covered floral wire.  That meant bendy arms and backs.

I also found that crochet thread that I hand dyed looked better than pulled apart canvas.

I still love this chair.  It lives in the top of the Witches' Warehouse.  The old Spinning Witch sits in it all day long, spinning straw into gold.  That can't be all bad.

I have to go check on Tessie and see what she is jumping on now.  I keep hearing clunking noises....Hopefully the new stool top is still in one piece.

See you tomorrow.

More Crochet and the Wine Glass Mattress Test....

Tessie took one look at the new scarf I was working on and announced, "Betcha can't make just one!'

She's right.  There are now three different colorways of Koigu sock yarn in the first one...I am trying to find a few more.

I forgot to show you the orange one on the right yesterday.  I have been working on that one for about a week...It is the softest cotton, sock weight yarn that I have ever worked with.  I cheated...That one was started with a whole ball, not just scraps.

The center one, is left overs from April's Christmas socks from last year.  Waste not, want not...

OK.  On the mini front, I finished the mattress for Nellie's bed this morning.

I put it in place and the Official Mattress Tester, Tessie(Try saying that three times fast!) showed up.

She was carrying a wine glass.  Zar was trying to get it away from her, without much success.

She went straight to the top of the house, plonked the wineglass on the corner of the new mattress and jumped up on the bed.

All the while, Zar and Nellie were trying to get her down.  You should have heard the ruckus....Or maybe you shouldn't have.

I did manage to get a photo of the test in progress.  Don't ask how I did it.  Just lucky enough to catch her at the top of a jump!

I am going to have to go back and get her out of there before she breaks the bed.  If it's not already too late.....

See you tomorrow.

Darkness Falls....

It is another glorious Monsoon day.  In other words, it's been cloudy all day and not conducive to making minis.  Our house is dark anyway and on cloudy days it gets just plain impossible to work in natural light....Not even a foot or two from the windows.

It is also almost impossible to get good mini photos.  They all turn out dark and fuzzy.

Soooo.....Out comes the yarn.

I pulled out all of the leftovers from socks and some balls of solid colors to compensate, if I need them.

I will probably add more than I take away by knitting and crocheting...but I am trying.  Honest.

I found a crochet pattern magazine last week with this pattern in it.  I know I could have made it without the magazine, but I am a sucker for pretty colored photos.

It is simply half a granny square pattern done in a solid color.  They had a photo(underneath the scarf that I am doing) that had all of the colors of the rainbow.  Who could resist a photo like that?

The key to making it soft and draped like that one in the photo is using a large crochet hook with thin yarn.  So....That's what I am doing.
You know that I can't leave well enough alone.  I had to try it in yellow too.

I also found a couple of fingerless mitts that I started to match the socks of the same yarn.

I do believe that I have enough to keep me busy until the sun comes out again.

Back to the hooks, needles and threads.

See you tomorrow.  Hopefully it will be sunny.

Roped and Hog Tied....

I got up this morning with intentions of finishing the rope bed in a hurry....Not to be.

I just didn't like the way it was swaying.  Not enough bracing and the ropes were going to warp it even further.  I think that's the hazard of turning this one into the mini.

I decided to put a bit of extra bracing under the rope area.  I know it's not authentic, but I am not to worried about the bed police coming to take me away.  By the way, I used #5 DMC pearl cotton for the rope.
Not too long after we got the bottom braces stained and the ropes laced, stretched and tied, I heard wailing coming from Lettice's room.  I went to look and found that somebody pilfered her mattress.  I told her not to panic and that I would find the culprit and return it to her.

Then I went to get it.  I knew immediately where it was.
Nellie bribed Zar to get it back for her new bed.

Thank goodness for one of a kind beds in different sizes.

The mattress was a wee bit too large.  I absolutely am not going to remind  her that the coverlet is removable....Let's just let her think that she will have to make a new one.

Don't you dare tell her either!!!

Meanwhile, I am going to have to go make another mattress and put her to work on a coverlet.

Back to work.

See you tomorrow.

It's Going to Work!

It was another one of those days when real life intruded on minis.  I did get the bed frame put together...I didn't get it strung.

Zar is slightly frustrated because he can't move the magnets.  I almost can't.  They are very strong.
Here you can see how I had to brace the side pieces so that they would center on the posts.

I simply slid a couple of the side covers from one of the magnets under either end of the rail to hold it in place until the glue dried.

You may be wondering what interfered with the minis.  A small person with the name Amare and his mom, my daughter April, accompanied him.

He is 8 months old and standing(holding on to things).  He is just plain more fun than miniatures at this time.
OK.  Back to the bed.  After company left, we tried it in Nellie's quarters.  It takes up the same floor space as the canopy bed, but it seems much smaller.  Not a lot of bulk.

Once it is dressed, I think that it will be perfect.  It doesn't hamper the vision of the rest of the room at all...

Nellie actually approved!  I will go back to work on it tomorrow.  I just had to play today.

See you then.

What a Difference a Stain Makes.....

I promised you a bed and I am working on it with Zar's help.....Or maybe I should say that he is working on it with my help.

I cut all of the pieces from walnut this morning.  The funny thing about walnut is, it is not all the same shade.  It doesn't look too bad in the photos, but believe me, it's a lot of different shades of brown.

I had to do the second step too.  Zar can't move the magnets.  They are way stronger than he is.

So....I put the headboard and foot board together with white glue in the squaring jig.
After that, I turned it over to him.  He gave the panels the appearance of linen fold by using separate square pieces of walnut.  One eighth inch square for the center rod and one sixteenth for the outer ones.

He rounded the two front edges of each and butted them together in each of the panels. Then he shaved off the top of each one at forty five degree angles.  Kind of....No measuring.

This was not an exact science.  He wanted it to look hand made, by a carpenter.  Not a court piece with fancy carving.

Meanwhile, Tessie fussed and fumed throughout the process.  He was getting shavings and sawdust all over her new floor.  Someone asked the other day if she considers herself the landlady....You bet'cha.  Her favorite word is "MINE!".  Oh, and I forgot, her second favorite word is "RENT".

I did talk Zar into doing the staining in the family room.  He agreed when I pointed out that the landlady wouldn't be pleased if he got a drop of English Chestnut stain on her Red Mahogany floor...It wouldn't match the decor.

It is amazing how the piece looks more finished with just a coat of wet stain.  Now all we have to do is wait for it to dry thoroughly.

We can't put the pieces together  until tomorrow.  And even if we could, I don't want to think what the rope would look like if Zar dragged it through all of those stain filled holes...Not a pretty picture.

So, it looks like a two day process.  Maybe I can make the mattress whilst watching the stain dry...

See you tomorrow.

The Party's Over....

I have two pieces of Edward's Turtle Pie left.  Anybody want some?

The witches invaded at one today... We ate and talked. Then we ate and talked some more.

All in all, it was a great success.

We have been together as a group for many years and usually have about eight members at any one time.

Right now, there are nine...Seven of us were together today.  We know each other well and there is never a lull in the conversation.

Four of us are doing kumihimo right now.  There are another four that do miniature needlework regularly.  Those two groups overlap.  We all do miniatures.  Two do beadwork.  One is a full time restaurant owner.  One is the founder of the Mini Time Machine Miniature museum.  We all have kids that we have to discuss every week.  Never a dull moment.

This week Anne asked me if I knew how to tat and would I teach her?  I said yes and yes.  There is always room for another tatter.  That got a discussion going on my collection of tatting shuttles.  The one in the center is my great grandmother's pride and joy.  Mother of pearl.

Ginnie got here late and needed help from the other kumihimo people to keep going.  She is now on her way to becoming a kumihimo star.
Judy and I discussed  how to turn a corner in a border pattern on a mini rug.

This is how you do it.  Assuming that you have a straight pattern for the border, find a small mirror.  Hold it on the diagonal across the border.  Look into the mirror and you can see the stitch pattern that you need to turn the corner.  By sliding the mirror back and forth, you can find the most pleasing corner pattern.

That's it....That's the only mini that I did all day!

I promise to make a bed tomorrow.  See you then.

Zar Won....In a Way....

This morning I attempted to finish the big people furniture rearranging...It is now almost one o'clock.

Zar got his way about setting up a woodworking shop on the first floor of the weaver's cottage.  Only because Tessie didn't need the room.

He immediately started asking how he was going to keep busy....No customers to speak of.

I broke the news of the three pieces that I have drawn plans for, for Nellie.  That will get him started.

I also dug around and found a couple of pieces that I started a couple of years back.  I might even give him a cookie if he finishes them.
Since there are no stairs, he devised his own system of getting to the second floor.  The broom handle, banging against the ceiling gets Tessie's attention.(She hates the noise, so comes running).  Then he has found one of my favorite rocks and pushed it against the outside wall by the alcove.

He "borrowed" the ladder from the Russian cottage....Read that as "stole it".

Tessie then crouches in the top opening and pulls him up,  Hey!  Whatever works!

Just in case you are curious, this is what the wall looks like so far.  Better than yesterday at least.

I am really just tossing things up in the air to see where they land so far....With a little help from my sliders...Even with those, sometimes it is more like wheel to the grindstone than sliding...It seems like furniture gets heavier as I get older.  Is that possible?

Oh!  While Zar was playing around on the ladder, I found more employment for him.  See all of those little white boxes on either side of the cottage?

So far I have found eight House of Miniatures kits for him to work on....
Let's see....Nellie's chair, bed, bench and wine cabinet....That's four.  Then there's my armoire and chest of drawers.  Six.  In the boxes, six chairs, one bench, one settee, one Chippendale daybed and two mirrors.  Seventeen....That should keep him busy for a week or two...Or more....I think that he had better start sharpening his carving tools!

I sure am glad that I found somebody else to do the woodworking.  I think I'll take a nap now.

See you tomorrow.

The Old Switch-A-Roo.....

It was another one of those three o'clock in the morning ideas that seemed reasonable at the time....Now I am asking myself, "What was I thinking!?!"

The house and table that you see in the first photo were in the bedroom, the rocker was in the workroom....Move to family room. Check!

It's just a good thing that I have "Sliders".

Before I could put the table where it is now, I had to find a place for the crooked house and the worktable with the weaver's cottage on it.
Sliders!  Going into the fray...  The crooked house was pretty straightforward, as far as the move itself...It was the idea that I had to find a place for the small table that the phone usually sits on in the bedroom.  As of now, it is still in the front hall...Homeless.

Please disregard the stack of shadow boxes on the chair....That is the cleaner part of the mess that I am making.

Of course then I had to rearrange the pictures on the wall to fit around the house.  More holes in the wall...
and more holes to plug.

There are still piles on the counter in the kitchen and piles on the table and piles on the bed and....and.....

Did I mention that I had to take two drawers out of  the worktable in order to make it movable?

I did.  I couldn't believe the things that I found in there, that had been missing for ages...

That's where Tessie and Zar decided to but in.  I am kind of glad that they did.  Zar was shedding tears of joy.  He found his black leather jacket...I think that the motorcycle boots are still in the Clockwork Caravan, so they weren't in question.

Tessie found her spare pogo stick... Not quite as emotional a find as the jacket.  Like I said, she has two.
Anyway, I just now got the weaver's cottage and table moved.  I am going to have to find a better cloth to cover the table and the sewing cabinet is going to a better home, when I figure out where that is...

The Terrible Two are making all kinds of noise over what they have unearthed in that drawer.  I am afraid to ask what they found.  I am sure that they will be on my back for hiding their belongings any minute now.

I had better get back to work.  I need to at least make a path from the back door to the living room before Walter gets home in about three hours...Wish me luck!

See you tomorrow.
